Resident Evil 4 remembered

Cast you mind back some years and you may remember the PS2, great console with great games with Res 4 being one of my faves( and Black)
Now achievements were not around then but I still played this game at least 3 times easy, normal and professional......why? Because I wanted to, so Res 4 HD on the 360 was a no brainer for me really, after hating it for horrible controls and thinking I wasted my money I gave it another go and guess what....its got me hooked again only this time I am finding it real hard and I am only on playthrough one on normal, the pro playthrough is going to be tough but this is one game I will get my 1000, all these kids games have taken there toll on my gaming skills and softened me up, anyhow if you have not played it I recommend it even if its just to see how bad you have become at playing games

RE4 was one of my favorite games on ps2. I got it the day it came out on xbla, but the controls are so freaking bizarre. It's almost entirely unplayable. I got the first achievement but have since deleted it from my system. Both sets of control options it gives you are both horrible and not natural at all. I'v played RE5 for over 80 hours, and to try to now zoom with lt, shoot with rt and have to aim with backward thumbsticks, it's just way too weird.

I did give up with it but decided to give it some time because I used to love it and the controls do come back to you, granted if they put the excellent res 5 controls as a option it would have improved it in that way but it is well worth the time if only to reminisce about the good old days

Agreed all around. I wish the re5 controls were an option, but it was cool to get to play it again.

Loved it. I am the only person i know who got everything unlocked in mercenaries on the gamecube. Meaning i got the highest score for each map.

Yeah remember this back in the day, I completed it alright probably only on normal. I can't honestly think if the controls where that bad or have they just improved so much on other games since then!

What kind of difficulty would you give it now Blain on normal?
I might download it and just play a run on normal playing on professional would not interest me in the slightest lol. How much G would you get for a normal run if it was worth 6/700g then I might pick it up but if it's all S rank on professional then no thanks

You can get i think 800 gamerscore of the 1,000 for just beating the game, then there's 1 for getting all outfits and another extras one.

750g can be gotten in playthrough one, couple of cheivo's are missable,

What Are They Worth? 150g
Acquire all of the bottle caps in the game.
Nothing hard here just play the shooting galleries

A Terrifying Assassin 150g
Turn the tables on Verdugo, the right hand of Salazar.
Instead of dodging this battle just kill him/it

Do Not Shoot the Water! 50g
Summon the master of the lake. Don't rock the boat.
Just shoot the water before you get in the boat

Playthrough two is with Ashley, if i remember from PS2 she has no weapons

(apart from her personal bazookas.....sorry)

Playthrough three on professional(unlocks after playthrough one), If i remember i am sure you get a infinite ammo gun(Chicago typewriter), but not sure

I would say on normal its a 6/10 for difficulty, the controls do not help but as i said earlier they do come to you with time

I didn't have a whole of issues adjusting to the controls on this. I remember them being bizarre on the GC so no big change there. As far as the infinite ammo gun, yes it unlocks but can only be used for the difficulty you finished the game with. Originally yes you could use for your pro play through but they changed it on this version. I finished my normal run but the pro run is hella pissing me off. At least you get ashleys super armor so you don't have to worry about her.
