Most of the achievements in this game you will get as you play through the story, but there are a few that need a little work.

You can find my complete story walkthrough here Following this you should be able to complete the game in about 10 hours and achieve 1000/1000 on one play through, if you keep track off Executions you have not done, how many made men you have killed (make sure you have done 5) and the favors for corrupt officials.

ACHIEVEMENT GUIDE

MobFace - 5 points

Create a mobster using MobFace.

First one you will get as soon as you start the game after customizing your character.

Getting Made - 5 points

Recruit your first soldier.

The next one you will probably get through the story.

First Crime Ring - 15 points

Control one crime ring.

After you take over La Maison Rouge, you get this through the story.

25 Massacred - 10 points

Kill 25 mobsters.

Just kill rival family members / guards.

100 Whacked - 15 points

Kill 100 mobsters.

You will probably get this while attacking the last 2 rackets / businesses in New York early in the game.

250 Iced - 20 points

Kill 250 mobsters.

Play through the story.

500 Empty Suits - 25 points

Kill 500 mobsters.

Play through the story.

750 Sleeping With The Fishes - 30 points

Kill 750 mobsters.

Play through the story, I got this when I was in Cuba to kill Henry Mitchell as I was taking over the rackets / businesses.

It's Not Personal - 20 points

Eliminate a rival family by successfully bombing their compound.

Play through the story, after you bomb Carmine Rosato's Compound.

Three Crime Rings - 40 points

Control three crime rings.

Play through the story.

Five Crime Rings - 50 points

Control five crime rings.

Play through the story.

Full Of Lead - 10 points

Kill 150 mobsters only using firearms.

Play through the story.

Right Hand Man - 10 points

Promote one of your made men to Capo.

Play through the story, you will get this when you enter Florida.

Second In Command - 15 points

Promote one of your made men to Underboss.

Play through the story.

Shakedown - 25 points

Control all extortable businesses.

Recruit a full family tree.

Organized Crime - 75 points

Control all crime rings.

Play through the story, you will get this.

Vendetta (Secret) - 30 points

Eliminate three rival families.

Eliminate two rival families.

Paying Tribute (Secret) - 10 points

Unlock all safehouses.

Accept Tom Hagen as your Consigliere.

CIA? DOA (Secret) - 25 points

Kill Henry Mitchell.

Last Family Standing (Secret) - 50 points

Eliminate all five rival families.

Play through the story.

It's Only Business (Secret) - 75 points

Eliminate Hyman Roth.

These ones below require a little more then just playing through the story, but most are still easy.

Let Me Upgrade You - 5 points

Upgrade one of your made men's skills or weapons.

Upgrade one of your men in Don's View, select your made man, press 'A' to upgrade, buy an upgrade.

Fortified Venue - 5 points

Max out all guards at a venue.

While setting the guards, set the maximum number to get it. Then go back in and lower the number if need be.

Torch The Joint - 5 points

Send your men to bomb a venue from the Don's View.

Simple, go into Don's View and select a rival racket / business, then select Bomb.

Pulling The Strings - 5 points

Send your men to attack a venue from the Don's View.

Simple again, go into Don's View and select a rival racket / business, then select Attempt Takeover.

BlackHand Brutality - 10 points

Kill 25 mobsters only using BlackHand attacks.

Just use punches until rival guard or made man is dead.

Bank Job - 5 points

Heist your first bank.

First bank is in New York, there is a demolitions point on the side wall, left-side as your looking at it, that leads straight to the vault. You have to get back to your safehouse / compound to be successful.

Bag Man - 20 points

Heist each bank once.

There are 3 more banks in the game, 2 in Florida and 1 in Cuba.

Security First Savings and Loan, there is a demolitions point on the left-side wall as your looking at it that leads straight to the vault.

Merit Credit Union, there is a demolitions point on the left-side wall as your looking at it that leads straight to the vault. Guard Patrolling the building, time it right as he walks away around the back.

Banco de Cuba, pull up in a car at the back to see a demolitions point that leads straight to the vault, patrolling guard in a blue uniform you can bribe. Make sure he is around the front when you blow the wall.

Again, you have to get back to your safehouse/compound to be successful.

Lockpicker - 5 points

Crack five safes.

Play through the story, as you take over rackets / businesses, look out for safes to open.

Safecracker - 75 points

Crack all safes.

You will have to crack ALL the safes in the game to get this, including all rackets / businesses, Airport Florida, Federal Building New York, Banks and Rival Compounds.

Gun Smuggler - 10 points

Find a level 2 firearm upgrade.

You get this while attacking Carmine's Compound, level 2 Magnum on a table in the hallway just before you reach Carmine. Unless you have an Arsonist earlier to get the level 2 Shotgun from behind the hedge in your compound.

Modified Firepower - 20 points

Find a level 3 firearm upgrade.

You will get this when you are attacking Global Storage through the story, you will notice a 'purple glow' on the wall of the building with the stairs on the right when you create the fire. 

Welcome To The Gun Show - 30 points

Collect all level 2 and 3 firearm upgrades.

Collect all level 2 and 3 firearm upgrades.

You will need to find all level 2 and level 3 guns to get this, here is a list of them and where:

Automatic Weapons

(L1) Tommy Gun - Available from start.

(L2) MP38 - Florida - Second floor of the Granados Compound.

(L3) Modified AK-47 - Cuba – In the Battaglia Masonry, look for ladder that leads underground, follow the tunnel to the end.

Pistols

(L1) Pistol - Available from start.

(L2) Silenced Pistol - Florida – First Hyman Roth Mission to free one of his men, you will see it, can't miss.

(L3) Delta M1911 (silenced) - Florida - Second floor of the Mangano Compound.

Magnums

(L1) .357 Magnum - Available from start.

(L2) .44 Magnum Force - New York – Second floor of Carmine Rosato's Compound on a small table.

(L3) .501 Magnum Enforcer - Cuba - Battaglia Quarry, use the map to find the lighthouse, sitting at the front on a chair.

Rifles

(L1) Sniper Rifle - Available from start.

(L2) Spitzer Centerfire - Florida – On the roof of Emilio's Packing Company (Requires Engineer).

(L3) Vintovka SR-98 - Cuba - On the second floor of the Almeida Compound, it's on a desk.

Shotguns

(L1) Shotgun - Available from start.

(L2) Sawed-off - New York – By the gate of the Corleone Compound behind a bush hedge on the left as you enter, or on the right as you leave the building (Requires Arsonist).

(L3) Schofield Semi-auto - Florida - Global Storage Chop Shop, in the building opposite where you start the fire.

Enforcer - 15 points

Complete 10 execution styles.

A little work this one, better of trying to get as many as you can early on in New York while its a little easier. See Executions In Style.

Executions In Style - 75 points

Complete all execution styles.

This one requires work, again try to complete as many as you can early, then take note of the ones you need from the Don's View. You can do an execution on a rival member or guard when their health is below 50%, press R3 (down on right-stick) to perform the execution. None are hard, but tricky ones:

Low Fall: trying to get a rival guard in the right place at the right time to throw through a window.

Disarm: manual target rival guards shoulder to make them drop their weapon.

Bottle Kill: again, trying to get rival guard in the right place at the right time to throw a bottle at them seems to be the trick.

Contract Killer - 15 points

Eliminate 5 made men with the appropriate kill condition.

You do 1 while playing through the story, Franklin Credi, so you just have to find 4 more and use the correct kill condition to get this. Here are some easy ones for you to do:

Jimmy Guidalatto: Kill Condition: Throw him into east River. Location: Spicher Waterfront High-Rises (New York - Back of the bank, near the river).

Norman Rossi: Kill Condition: Execute with a Pistol. Location: Baja Inc. Construction (New York - Near your safehouse, first building under construction, top floor).

Clyde Lando: Kill Condition: Run him over with Car. Location: Under the Midtown Expressway (New York - Near compound, entrance is on the street behind the road construction).

Gary Lamberteschi: Kill Condition: Brutalize with Punch Execution. Location: Edgemont Park (New York - The park that is near your compound, he is under the small bridge in the center).

Bill Ciompi: Kill Condition: Choke him with Garrote. Location: Roof Top Federal Housing (New York - Go out of your safehouse and turn left, look for stairs leading to the roof in the alley way).

Theodore Ruiz: Kill Condition: Melle Weapon Execution. Location: Walker Mobile Home Park (Florida - across street from SaniCo Hauling Depot, behind the houses).

Johnny Salazar: Kill Condition: Molotov Cocktail. Location: Plaza Del Mar Parking Facility (Florida - Carpark inbetween Basso Oil Fill & Go and Berry's Pawnbrokers, on other side of street, he is up the top).

Accept This As A Gift - 30 points

Earn one of each favor.

To get this, you have to do 1 of each favor for the Corrupt Officials in each city, they are:

New York:

Victor Grosser - Rebuild Bombed Businesses, bomb a business (the bank).

Ken Jameson - Call off Police, smash up a business (Appliance King).

Leon Brinker - Rapid Recovery, steal documents from a safe (SaniCo Incineration).

Florida:

Wayne Residorf - Call off Police, Kill someone (a rapist who is on top of a building bashing a (TOPLESS!) girl).

Joey Katz - Tony Rosato Sting, Bomb a Business (Basso Oil Express).

Matthew Tilden (inside Luscious Entertainment) - Granados Sting, smash up a business (Elite Diner).

Pedro Ilievarra - Call off Police, safecracker to open safe in Airport, pay 4 guards outside.

Lt. Gov. Robert Rizzo - Rapid Recovery, Beat up a person, pay 2 guards.

Cuba:

Maria Torres - Mangano Sting, Kill someone (you will come under heavy fire for doing this, snipe from a distance, turn and run like hell).

Juan-Pablo Del Monte - Free Made Men From Jail, Beatdown (punch someone up, easy).

Jaime Agassiz - Almeida Sting, Bomb a Business (Battaglia Cement Depot, easy).
