File under "Tell Us Something We Don't Know" Via Joystiq, Microsoft have issued a statement saying that the free-to-play avatar-support arcade title, Joy Ride, will be delayed as it missed it's 2009 holiday launch window...

Go on, say it . No kidding. The statement reads "Were committed to delivering the most robust experience to the community and are taking additional time to ensure we provide the best experience possible" What this means is because the game is free, they cannot afford to patch it later on, unlike Bioware or Bethesda.  So there must be quite a few bugs then. I blame the avatars. Any game with avatars is bound to ruin the experience.

Joy Ride is due sometime later this year.

i think it has more to do with that OTHER system and their MOD RACING NATION . why would Microsoft place their avatar racing game out there for you to play, as they are more then likely thinking that SONY will take some of their ideas and add something kind-of-the-same to M.R.N. At the same time XBOX is wanting for SONY to release that so they can do the same thing and compare.

I hope that's not the case but.....
Free or pay I'll still grab it most likely.
