What happened to the good old days of gaming? Where you finished a game and that was it. These days a decision you make today in Mass Effect 2 will affect Mass Effect 3, a game that will come out in 2012. Better make that decision quick then...
I wish this latest trend of giving decision making information so far ahead would stop. By the time Mass Effect 3 comes out, we have probably played over a hundred games and forgotten what decision we made anyway. If you want to know exactly what affects what, I have put a spoiler tag below as some of you may have not finished Mass Effect 2. Up to you if you want to look now or wait until 2012.

If Shepard dies in Mass Effect 2, you will not be able to import him into Mass Effect 3. You can still play Mass Effect 3, but you will have to create a new Shepard.
