SPECIAL NOTE - some homicide/arson/vice cases allow you to pick who to charge with the crime. In some cases, only one choice gives you 5 stars, so i will make note of whom to choose in the individual cases in which this applies.

Homicide Case 1 - Red Lipstick Murder

Evidence at scene:

writing on body - examine victim's abdomen
blunt force trauma - examine victim's head
missing jewelry - examine victim's left hand
size 8 shoe prints - found at evidence marker C
lipstick - in purse at Marker A
bamba club lighter - evidence Marker B, move other pieces in relation to bottom one on globe to open it

At Bamba club in interview with Dick McColl:

license plate 2B8899 - pick "truth" for topic "suspect seen with victim"
husband's alibi - pick "doubt" for topic "knowledge of husband"

Husband's alibi - added after speaking to woman in 302 down the hall

Police station:

brown ford coupe - when interviewing Angel, use the husband's alibi after choosing lie for the topic "last contact with victim"

El Dorado bar:

divorce papers - given to you by bartender, examine envelope to open it

Just Picked Fruit:

scalpel - sitting on the desk in the back office/ room

Barbara Lapenti - boarding house

possible suspects - truth
movements of victim - doubt
evidence of break-in - lie - broken window or iron picket

Homicide Case 4 - The White Shoe Slaying

SPECIAL NOTE - This case can be completed in many ways, but to find all evidence you have to go in a specific order, so i will try to outline that by ordering the evidence locations accordingly.

Baron's bar:

yellow cab 3591 - in talking to Benny, pick "Truth" for last contact with victim topic

TRACE AND FOLLOW YELLOW CAB

victim's movements - added only if you are able to interview the driver of the cab

Police station:

all american 249 - added if you pick "doubt" for topic movements prior to murder when interviewing Jessop

Interstate Bus depot:

bus route map - given to you by clerk at counter

PURSUE AND STOP BUS

victim last seen - added in talking to bus driver

Hobo Camp:

bloodstained rope piece - on nightstand next to bed in Ackerman's shack
purse - turn around from there and the purse is on the other table (and a newspaper is there, too)

Catherine Barton - at scene

suspicious persons - truth

Lars Taraldsen - at residence

possible suspects - lie - bow rope

Levine's Liquor Store:

book - in back sleeping area of store - SPECIAL NOTE - return immediately to Mench's bar after finishing investigating the liquor store because it opens up a final question for mccaffrey - if you call dispatch for the address first, he is not in the bar anymore - you CAN ask him about the book at the police station later, but it doesn't add the key piece of evidence "victim last seen" anymore
liquor purchase - select truth for the topic contact with victim when talking to Robbins

McCaffrey's Apartment:

torn letter bottom half - on desk in living room
tire iron - on the floor near the desk in the living room

Police station:

SPECIAL NOTE - This is where the case gets tricky. You need to interview both suspects two times, in the right order, to get the last 3 pieces of evidence. Also, you can charge both men, but only charging McCaffrey will get you 5 stars. So, here we go.

This is the interview order: Tiernan, then McCaffrey, then Tiernan again, THEN CALL R&I IN THE HALLWAY, then McCaffrey to end the case.

Tiernan's accusation - added for picking doubt for the topic access to murder weapon
McCaffrey's accusation - added for picking lie for the topic access to tire iron and use Tiernan's accusation as the evidence selected
McCaffrey's criminal record - added after calling R&I to ask following second interview with Tiernan
