Just picked this up and 1k'ed in one sitting, under 5 hours. Very easy, decent gameplay, not a bad experience.

Completed
This gave me some trouble for the first couple games, just couldn't get the timing right for the swing, but eventually it gets easier to the point of laughable... simple and quick

Tips and tricks
For every game you beat on Mercy rule you have a player join you, the recommended play order is:
The Rooftop - Keisha Phillips (Pitcher) Quantum Field - Dmitri Petrovich (Catcher) Pablo's Sandlot - Pablo Sanchez (Second Base) The Commons - Joey Macadoo (Shortstop) Concrete Canyon - Tony Delvecchio (Right Field) Cul De Sac(Night) - Vicki Kawaguchi (Left Field) Cul De Sac(Day) - The Gemenis (3rd Base) Garcia Manor - Jorge Garcia (Center Field) With any player 4 stars or greater go for home runs (hold left stick slightly upwards and slightly off centre) and use power swing (B button). Practice will eventually have you hitting home runs as easily as stealing candy from a baby With any player not a 4 star player try to get them on base at least, use a power up if you have it to guarantee on base and try to chip over the in field to give you a chance to get to base (hold up on left stick when swinging) Do not try and steal bases and let the cpu handle all the running, you are not smarter than the AI for handling your base runners, I found this out way too many times Do not use power ups on defense (when you are pitching) it is a waste of use, just pitch low and fast in the corners of the box, they will swing and miss or hit but poorly enabling most of the time for an on field out I must admit (ashamedly) it took me some two hours to get the Mercy win game on the first one Also make sure your created player is first base man with zero stars in pitching which then lets you max out all other stats Make sure to win the mini games, this will give you stat boosts as well After the first game you will have two All Stars (your created player and Keisha), after the second game you will have three, etc etc Patience really is key here, if you get over the starting hump it does get to be a breeze, just breathe slowly |
