My other favorite arcade game I see has no guide, so here we go.

Minimum Playthroughs: One, but lots of time online
Missable achievements: None
Glitched achievements: Not so much glitched as horribly designed, but the win 10 games on XBL achievement means you have to win a game where you fully eliminate the last person, meaning they cannot quit until it is fully over or it does not count as a win. And, since almost EVERY SINGLE person quits in EVERY SINGLE game, it is best to play this with a friend and work together.

Achievement Guide:

First Strike - 5 G - This is for getting the first objective in a game. Basically built into campaign, and impossible not to get during it.

Ironman - 20 G - This is for beating 5 attacking troops using only 1 defender. Not as hard as it sounds, and it doesn't mean the country can only have one person in it, you just need to win 5 straight defensive rolls. It is also more easily accomplished when you have the defense die card, and the help of other factors like the missile on some maps or an airfield.

Star Command - 30 G - This is for redeeming 10 stars for 30 troops. This has to be done in the factions variants since the standard goes by the original cards and not stars. It is most easily done in a custom 5 person game because the AI is terrible. Just keep building up defenses and only take 1 country per turn when it makes sense and you'll have it in no time. Some cards give you 1 star and sometimes you get 2.

Faction Specialist - 10 G - Complete each of the 5 campaign missions. In total, they will take you 2-3 hours, depending on your starting positions and countries, but it is never too hard, and if you lose, you can just start back off at that level.

Man Up! - 0 G - This is the viral achievement that you get for playing someone who has it. Almost everyone does, the RISK community is fairly small and loyal, so you'll fight someone who has this likely in your first game.

Soldier - 10 G - Play 5 games on Xbox Live. Can be ranked or player matches, but it makes more sense to always just play ranked, you can still always choose what match you want to join.

Capitalize This - 20 G - This is for controlling all 5 capitals on the board in a match. Most easily done in a custom 5 person match on the Classic Map. Just play normally, maybe a little defensively so you build slowly until you can do a lot of damage. And if the match is taking too long, you can save and quit and resume from that point. The one big benefit of custom matches.

Destroyer - 10 G - Destroy 100 of each unit. Not bad, you will get this easily on the way to going for all the achievements, just be sure you play as different factions. And you can always check your progress in the main menu in "war record"

Demon Child - 30 G - This is for getting 10 super overkills. Honestly i have no idea what it means, but i can tell you i am 95% sure from the 120 hours i've played this game for, i think i know what it might be. I have 42 of them, so you will just get them as you go, and you unfortunately have no control over it. When you attack and get 6-6 while your opponent gets, say, 1-1, it is an overkill and you take 4 troops instead of 2. For the super overkill, i think it means get 6-6-6 and the opponent is all much less on their rolls. So, basically, just keep playing for the other achievements and doing the fast battles (x) and you will get this eventually. You have no control over it.

5 Star General - 30 G - This is easy, just takes some time. For this, you need to win a match on every custom map - meaning all maps listed as 2,3,4 and 5 player. Luckily, if you win a map in one, it applies to all others, so my tip is to start with all 5 player matches and win those and that will take a large chunk out of the other sections.

Glory Hunter - 20 G - This is the "glitched" win 10 games on XBL. No one has any patience, so everyone quits the second they're losing, which means even if you win by default it's not a win. Also, when anyone quits a match on XBL, the chances of the match freezing are about 60-80%. So, the best way to go about this is to set up ranked 1v1 matches and have a friend join it every time. You control as the host and if someone else joins you can boot them. If you have no one else you know with the game, this is still probably the best way to try to get it, because it only leaves 1 person to quit and you won't have played for 3 hours in a 5 person match to have it freeze.

Master and Commander - 15 G - This is for the ranked command room playlist. You simply have to win one game of it that had 5 people in it to start. This, luckily, does still count if people quit, so long as you still win normally after one or two quit. In command room, you win by getting 3 objective cards before anyone else and then the game automatically ends. My best advice is to play normally, as other players are likely to overextend going for the objectives. If it appears the opposite is true, though, you might want to go all out for objectives yourself so you win before getting overwhelmed by troops.

Climbing up the ranks, honestly guides are excellent.
You are like a machine, tbh not my type of game almost makes me want to try it but as you said the online achievements suck!
