What is DLC and how does it work in a game? Man I have so much to learn. Why oh why did I not start this gaming when I was 20. Wait gaming was not around when I was 20. Now I feel better

This can be a couple things. New maps for multiplayer, new gun load outs, upgrades for weapons or armor in a campaign, new levels or challenges. Long story short it's more of the game they didn't have time to put it for release so they put it out later and charge us more money for it. DLC can take a great game farther then it was originally meant but it also make you feel cheated. DLC is a touchy subject on this site. People either hate it or they love it. I'm on the fence.
