Hiya, so I must be a dummy, but trying to figure out how to dunk on the contest. I fail miserable and continuing to button mashing to the point, i want to throw the controller. I wasted an hour restarted this over and over. The instructions are no help. Just move the RS. How do I dunk? Anyone do this already?

This was annoying for me as well. I eventually just did the most simplest dunk and made the other players fail. Use Lebron James as he can dunk anything.

1. Use the LS to move forward towards the basket
2. When you reach a good distance to the basket, flick the RS up.
3. Then flick the RS again into a half circle before your dunker leaves the ground (different motions give different dunks, but you don't care you just want to dunk it)
4. Then pull the RT when the meter reaches the shaded area.

Sorry I am doing this from memory. If you are still having trouble, I will get the game out again.

Yeah, never would have figured this out. Thanks for the tip, I will try that today. This similar for the 3pt shootout? Couldn't make a basket to save my life.

Just picked up the game again today and realized again, how annoying the controls were for the Blacktop games!

For the shootout you have use the right stick. Pull back then flick forward to shoot.

Will be around all weekend to boost.

Ok, so I noticed they took the 2k8 server offline. I couldn't find the info, bad notification of when it would be up again. Well so I saw this today from a few weeks ago:

Dang those jerks! I was holding onto this game waiting to boost the online ones. I could have sent this back a few days ago and got a new game to boost. Grrrrrrrr....
