Windows Phone 7 Display Issue

I'm very upset right now. Yesterday the display on my WP7 Samsung Focus stopped working. I could still operate the camera and call people but I couldn't see what I'm doing because the display is black. I had to guess where to press.

I took out the battery and sim card overnight and the display was still black and now it doesn't respond to touch either. So I can't even guess how to call someone.

Has anyone heard about this before?

its possible the back lights have gone on the display


shine a very bright torch/light on the screen while phone is on to see if you can make out any images, if so its defo backlights are gone

if cant see anything then possibly display faulty or lead connecting screen is loose

happens on most led/lcd screens as had a laptop do it

geez, i went to press "reply" and screen on my phone picked "thank"

but as for your phone GUN DEVIL , maybe it just started the 2012 Mayan apocalypse a bit early ! LOL

If that you mean a non iPhone user then yes sorry! Apple stock dropped $35 yesterday and only reported a 9.1 billion dollar profit...

i am willing to bet that most of the reasoning behind that drop has something to do with the reported rumor that the iPhone 5 will use a completely new connector - for charging, syncing - not to forget all those gadgets around the house that one already has that works with the iPod, and iPhones will not be able to use ( unless an adapter is on the way - more money for apple )

What are you talking about that should have made it skyrocket! Your iPhone is finally going to change and not just by name, Actual physical appearance! Wow who saw that coming.... did you hear they are already talking about the new iPhone 5S!!!

Well, I shined a flash light at the screen and noticed a crack that goes all the way across the display. It is under the surface of the display. Don't know how it got there but it's there. Time for a new phone.

thats unlucky mate

unfortunatly lcd screens are very fragile, whick seem to take knocks but variations in atmospheric temperature can make screen crack esp at edges
