If you haven’t heard, Epic is launching Gears of War 3 this Fall,  but have you also heard what they are releasing this February? Gears of War Triple Pack! Does this mean more Gears of War achievements earlier?

 

The Gears of War Triple Pack will include Gears of War, Gears of War 2, and Gears of War All Fronts Collection.  The Gears of War All Fronts collection includes 19 multiplayer maps and the extra campaign chapter “Road to Ruin”.  If you are wondering if something is missing then you are correct. Map Pack 1 and the Hidden Fronts DLC are not included in the new release but are available on Xbox Live for free. The announced release date is 15 February 2011 and the price for this Xbox exclusive treat will be $29.99.

 

Now for the achievements. Every achievement from the first two games and all DLC will be included in the Triple Pack. That is a total of 3K worth of Gamerscore, but before you get excited you might want to think about something.  When a developer rereleases a game with extra content they don’t always allow you to earn the same achievements twice especially when the game didn’t undergo a complete overhaul.
