To me, Saints Row was always the low-rent cousin to GTA. Except in the new Saints Row: The Third - jointly announced by THQ and GameInformer - you will be accomplishing something that you NEVER could in GTA IV...

 

You start the game ALREADY filthy rich. No more delivering pizzas, driving taxis or hooking up with insignificant low-lifes just to get ahead. The bane of GTA IV was that you started off as a bum and after 60+ missions - unlike San Andreas - you were still a bum. Where's the fun in that? Becoming filthy rich in a game is where it's at. 

 

Saints Row: The Third is due this holiday, 2011.
