In case you're wondering, co-op here means an optional storyline that will not affect the outcome of the single player campaign for Mass Effect 3. So can you have four Shepards running around? Or maybe even four Ashleys?...

 

No is the short answer. Bioware officially announced co-op multiplayer via their fourms revealing the 4-player co-op missions will take place outside the campaign in a bonus mission called Mass Effect 3: Galaxy at War. Head to this link for the full FAQ.

 

Mass Effect 3 is due March 6, 2012.
