ACHIEVEMENT GUIDE

 

 

Ashes King with the Bat - 50 points

Score 500 runs in an Ashes Series with a single batsman in single player

 

This is pretty self explanatory. I did this using England and used Alistair Cook. If you have not got 500 runs with him by the time you start the last test then use him to bat and keep saving after every over. If he gets out before you have reached the 500 run mark then simply quit and reload your save.

 

King Pair - 40 points

Dismiss a batsman for a golden duck twice in a Test Match in single player or ranked online match

 

Use a highly ranked team against a low ranked team. I used England's Graham Swann against Bangladesh. You can use the save function so that if you fail to get someone out for a duck on the second innings you may simply reload and try again

 

 

The Top Hat Trick - 50 points

Take 4 wickets in a row from one bowler in a match in single player or ranked online match

 

Again use a team like England against a team like Bangladesh and use Graham Swann. Once you hit the bottom end of the batting order this is made even simpler, and remember you can use the save function after every ball. So save after getting the Hat trick achievement and keep reloading until you claim another wicket straight away

 

 

The Hat Trick - 30 points

Take 3 wickets in a row from one bowler in a match in single player or ranked online match

 

See the The Top Hat Trick, remember to use the save function.

 

 

20 Over Champions - 75 points

Win a full-length 20 Over Tournament in single player

 

Choose a decent team like England or Australia and this shouldn't be too difficult. I did have to do this twice though as for some reason when I won the first time it didn't register properly.

 

10 Wicket Defeat - 75 points

Win a Test Match by 10 wickets in single player or ranked online match

 

Simply win a test match without losing any wickets in the second innings. You have to score the winning runs in the second innings so bowl them out and set a score that is maybe 100 above theirs and again bowl them out with them setting you a low target. From here just play safe and again utilise the save and load features.

 

The Blazing Blade - 20 points

Hit 6 sixes in 6 consecutive deliveries in an innings in single player or ranked online match

 

This can be tricky at times but not once you have a feel for the game. Again use team such as England v Bangladesh and pay attention to the field. Time your lofted shot perfectly and play to square leg.

 

Ashes Champions - 100 points

Win an Ashes series in single player

 

This isn't too bad. I played as England but it would be just as simple being Australia. Just complete the 5 tests and be victorious. Yes, you have to complete all 5 tests even if you have won the first 3.

 

Test Match Domination - 50 points

Score 600 runs or more in an innings of a Test Match in single player or ranked online match

 

I did this is the Ashes Test but it would be easier to simply do this in a test match England/Australia v Bangladesh. Remember to use the save function if things turn out badly. Also a reminder the 600 runs do not need to be with one player although it is easier to score runs when you have a ryhthm.

 

 

Ashes Destroyer - 50 points

Take 40 wickets in an Ashes series with a single bowler in single player

 

This is pretty easy with Graeme Swann. Just make sure you use one bowler a lot and you should have this well before the end of the series.

 

ODI Champions - 75 points

Win a full-length ODI Tournament in single player

 

Simply win a ODI tournament. I think it is 3 games and is easily done with England. If you struggle you can always quit and restart the match or use the save/load feature.

 

 

If You Want Something Done Right - 75 points

Take 10 wickets in an innings with a single bowler in single player or ranked online match

 

Again I did this with Graeme Swann for England. Make sure your against an easy team, again I suggest Bangladesh. Do this in a test match so there are no limits on the overs you can bowl and use the save feature in case you accidently bowl someone out with another bowler. But you should aim to bowl people out with swann and bowl slightly wide with other bowlers, whilst intentionally drpping their catches and not trying for run-outs.

 

 

Raise the Ball - 20 points

Take 5 wickets in an innings with a single bowler in single player or ranked online match

 

See If You Want Something Done Right

 

Demolition with the Ball - 40 points

Bowl the opponent out in 10 overs or less in single player or ranked online match

 

This may take more than one attempt as some batsmen can have a tendency to not score runs and just stick around. Mix up your techniques and try to strike early. If you have no wickets by the time the 3rd over is finished I would consider restarting. Use England v Bangladesh again.

 

 

Innings Defeat - 75 points

Win a Test Match by an innings or more in single player or ranked online match

 

For this you need to definately opt to field first. Then bowl your opponent out for a low score. Then use your batting time to maybe try and get the score xx runs achievements then when you are bowling again get the other team out before the surpass your score so you do not have to re-bat. Use England v Bangladesh.

 

 

Nought and Nought - 20 points

Dismiss a batsman for a duck twice in a Test Match in single player or ranked online match

ODI Domination - 40 points

Score 300 runs or more in an innings of an ODI Match in single player or ranked online match

 

Do not try to constantly play lofted shots, although using England against Bangladesh this usually isn't too hard. I would save frequently so that you can reload if you lose to many of your decent batsman although to be honest this is fairly simple and I would advise doing it at the same time as The Triple Ton.

 

 

The Triple Ton - 40 points

Score 300 runs in an innings with a single batsman in single player or ranked online match

 

I did this at the same time as ODI Domination. Again a team like England works well against Bangladesh and utilise the save function. To make this go quicker try to keep the batsman attempting the achievement as your man on strike. Remember to save periodically to refrain from having to start over again.

 

The Double Ton - 30 points

Score 200 runs in an innings with a single batsman in single player or ranked online match

The Big 100 - 15 points

Score 100 runs in an innings with a single batsman in single player or ranked online match

Raise the Bat - 5 points

Score 50 runs in an innings with a single batsman in single player or ranked online match

Power Hitting - 10 points

Hit 6 fours in 6 consecutive deliveries in an innings in single player or ranked online match

 

This isn't too difficult. Just look at the field set before you choose where to aim your shot and make sure not to score a six by accident as this will void the run of 4's. England or Australia v Bangladesh works well.

 

 

Dynamite in the Field - 5 points

Successfully complete all of the fielding lessons

 

Simply complete all the fielding training sessions, there are no challenges.

 

 

Master of the Blade - 5 points

Successfully complete all batting lessons and challenges

 

Simply complete all of the training and challenges for batting. This was one of my last achievements but I would recommend doing it near the start to make the run scoring achievements easier

 

 

Master with the Ball - 5 points

Successfully complete all of the bowling lessons and challenges

 

Simply complete all of the training and challenges for bowling.
