ACHIEVEMENT GUIDE

Fable 2 is not real hard, just a little time consuming, but the main story can be done within 15 hours if you just go through and do what must be done to complete it. However, to get everything and do everything, you need more then 15 hours for sure, anyway here is a break down of the achievements and how I got or I seen my brother get during play.

ACHIEVEMENT GUIDE

The Chicken Kicker - 5 points

Kick a chicken a good distance, or see one getting kicked.

You can get this one when you first start, find some chickens and kick one of them. Of there is another opportunity later in the game with the Demon Doors, to open the one in Bowerstone Cemetery it needs 'meat', just so happens there is a group of chickens very close, kick one of them to hit the door.

The Whippersnapper - 25 points

A child Hero must collect five gold pieces.

You will get this one during the story.

The New Hero - 50 points

The terror of Bower Lake must be defeated

You will get this one during the story also, after you have grown up and left the Gypsy Camp, to progress to Bowerstone Market you have to go to a bandit camp near by and kill the bandit named Thag.

The Pooch Pamperer - 5 points

Play fetch with your dog, or see another Hero’s dog play.

After you get to Bowerstone Market, as you enter there is a General Store on the right, before you cross the bridge. You can buy a 'rubber ball' and a new dog command will be available, play fetch.

The Archaeologist - 5 points

Dig up something the dog has discovered, or see another Hero do so.

After you get to Bowerstone Market, as you enter there is a General Store on the right, before you cross the bridge. You can buy a 'rubber ball' and a new dog command will be available, play fetch.

The Dog Trainer - 5 points

Teach your dog a trick, or see another Hero’s dog learn one.

Again, in Bowerstone Market there is a Book Store, cross the bridge and third building on the left from memory, buy a dog trick book, walk back outside to your dog and you will be able to 'use' the book.

The Persuader - 5 points

Convince a villager to give you a present, or see another Hero do so.

As you are going around Bowerstone Market you may see people that like you or hate you, depending on a few things, but anyway, if a person likes you enough they will have a 'gift' icon above their head. Walk up to them and accept the gift, you can 'target' or 'select' someone and view their info, this will tell you if they like you or hate you and how far they are away from giving you a gift. Do some expressions to increase how much they like you.

The Show-off - 5 points

Impress a villager with a perfect expression, or see another Hero do so.

As mentioned above, do expressions to make people like you, or hate you if you so wish, a 'perfect expression' is one that is held for a certain length of time before letting go, the 'green' area of the bar will decrease in size the longer you hold. Try to let go when the moving 'dot' is in the green area.

The Hero of Many Names - 5 points

Change your Hero’s title, or see another Hero change theirs.

Have a look in Bowerstone Market for the Town Crier, he sells Titles, buy one if you have enough Gold that is this early in the game.

The Rogue - 5 points

Steal something undetected from a building while there are people nearby, or see another Hero do so.

Easy way to get this, go into the Tavern, run up the stairs and find something like a cupboard or dresser that when you walk near it a red glow appears around it with the word 'steal' above it. An 'eye' icon will appear, as long as there are people around but this remains 'closed' while you are doing the deed you will get this.

The Muse - 5 points

Inspire the Bard to compose songs celebrating your great deeds.

This is related to 'Renown', once you have enough, go to any of the Taverns, pay 10 Gold to the Bard, he will sing a song about you.

The Philanthropist - 10 points

Send a gift to an Xbox LIVE friend, or watch another Hero send one.

Organize a meeting place with a friend so you can see each others 'orbs' in game, select then do interact and lastly Gift. Select anything to give, does not matter what.

The Workhorse - 10 points

A Hero must achieve a high-enough chain while performing a job.

While in Bowerstone Market, head to the Blacksmiths and look at the sign out the front to see if any jobs are on offer, if there is accept it. Now, similar to expressions, get the moving 'dot' in the green area, the more times you do in a row is a 'chain' and increases the multiplier for the Gold you earn. I got about 10 - 15 in a row and got this.

The Artisan - 10 points

Succeed at one job to Level 5, or see another Hero do so.

While doing the above you may get this, depends on how long you continue, I know it does get boring after a while. Anyways, as you earn Gold you level up, the first 2 - 3 levels are pretty easy. Succeed at one of the jobs on offer, Blacksmith, Wood Chopping or Barman around Albion to level 5 and get this.

The Romantic - 10 points

Take a villager on a perfect date, or tag along to one. Location and expressions are all-important.

Once you have someone 'targeted' or 'selected' you can view their info, this gives you information on their likes and dislikes, favorite place, expressions liked and what gifts they like. Simple, take them to their favorite place, do expressions they like and give them what they want.

The Spouse - 10 points

Marry a villager, or attend the wedding of another Hero.

After a while someone will want you to marry them, give them a 'ring' to seal the deal. There is an opportunity to do this during a side quest for a ghost called 'The Gilted Lover' in Rookridge. Basically, you deliver a letter to the ghosts old lover, instead off giving her the letter, marry her.

The Parent - 10 points

Have a child, or be there for the birth of another Hero’s child.

Once you have tied the knot, unprotected sex will result in this. You may have to buy the book 'Come Hither Dear' to learn the expression from the Bowerstone Market Bookshop if your having trouble getting the wife in bed.

The Bigamist -10 points

Get married a second time, whilst already married, or attend the second wedding of another Hero.

Do not know why you would, but anyway your married once, just go somewhere else, like Oakfield and marry someone else.

The Hunter - 5 points

Kill a sweet, innocent, fluffy bunny rabbit (remember, safety’s off!)

Pretty easy this, when in Oakfield, go into any of the fields and look for rabbits, getting too close will make them run, turn the safety off in the expression wheel (the skull) and target one and shoot. Advisable to turn the safety back on again.

The Teaser - 5 points

Make bandits respond to expressions with fear, anger, mirth, and confusion… during combat!

This is one of the trickiest if not hardest in the game to do, while being attacked you have to do expressions to make a bandit respond. Better if you leave this until you have levelled up or you will get ripped to pieces while trying.

Once you have got bandit numbers down to a easy manageable level, like 1 or 2, target one so they glow 'red' do an expression from one of the 4 categories, Fun, Flirt, Rude and Scary. You have to do one from each category, does not have to be the same bandit for this to unlock.

The Property Magnate - 10 points

A property must be sold for twice the price it was bought for.

There are 2 properties that I can think of to get this, one is next to the tavern in Bowerstone Market called 'Silk Moon' while the other is in Bowerstone Oldtown, cannot remember the name, but as you go through Bowerstone Oldtown you will go down some stairs, turn left, the first house on the left is the one (that's the one I used). Anyway in both cases, upgrade all the furniture you can to 5 star, wait a little while, then sell it. Wait a little while and buy it back.

The Ruler of Albion - 100 points

Amass a 2.5 million gold real estate empire, or be there when another Hero does.

This will not come around until much much later in the game, once you have brought just about every property you can, including the Fairfax Castle, which will not be available until after the game is complete.

The Illustrated Hero - 5 points

Tattoo every part of your Hero’s body, or see another Hero do so.

From a tattooist, buy a head and body tattoo, then apply them, done. If you do not like being tattooed this much, you can pay for them to be removed.

The Goth - 5 points

A Hero must dye their hair black, and wear a black outfit and black makeup.

While shopping around, keep your eye out for black dye, 'Moonless Midnight' from memory, pretty hard to find early on in game, but once you have it, dye everything you wear and your hair for this.

The Gambler - 10 points

A Hero must win 500 gold at a pub game in one sitting, having tried each game type at least once.

You must try each off the 'pub games' at least once for this, then win 500 Gold in one sitting. If you have already won 500 Gold but not tried all types, once you have tried the type(s) you have missed, it will unlock, I did this in Spinner Box. Fable 2 Pub Games in Arcade does not count.

The Swinger - 5 points

Take part in a debauched bedroom party with several participants.

This is easy when you get to Bloodstone, hookers are everywhere, find 2 (or 3) and get them to follow you with expressions, 'thumbs up' or the 'come hither dear' work well, around the tavern is best bet, then just take them upstairs.

The Pied Piper - 10 points

Start a party where at least five villagers are dancing, or see another Hero do so.

Easy too, at any of the taverns that are busy, pay the Bard 10 Gold and start dancing yourself with the expression. Another way, when you have purchased the 'Lute' from a General Store, start playing and hold it with a group of people around you, before long they will start dancing.

The Party Animal - 10 points

Get five villagers drunk in under three minutes, or see another Hero do so.

Make sure you have about 6 - 7 beers on you, give them to people around you using 'Gift' option, at taverns works well again, if you are having trouble, do a dance or play the lute first to draw a crowd, then hand out the beer.

The Menace To Society - 5 points

Commit an act of public indecency, or see another Hero commit one.

You will need the 'vulgar thrust' expression, strip down to your underwear, go to where a group of people are and do the vulgar thrust expression, you do not have to hold it long for this to unlock. But run after you have done it, or trouble you will be in.

The Cliff Diver - 5 points

Cliff dive 500 feet, or see another Hero do so.

See The Sharpshooter Achievement below.

The Sharpshooter - 10 points

Hit three enemies with one shot, or see another Hero do so.

This and the previous achievement can be done at the same time, during the 'Treasure Island of Doom' quest which can be found at the tavern in Bloodstone, buy Salty Jack a drink and he will give you the quest. There will be a big cliff you will have to dive off for The Cliff Diver, while fighting the ghost pirates in the mess room, stand in a doorway and whip out a Blunderbuss, keep firing, do not target, just shoot. This is where I got these achievements.

The Black Knight - 10 points

Shoot the weapons from a hollow man’s hands, blow off his head and then kill him for good!

You will not be able to get this until you have upgraded your skills with 4 Star Dextrous Styles 'Sub-Targeting' which will let you target 'specific' areas of enemies. First target his hands, then his head and kill him for good measure. If you use a Time Control spell before makes this a lot easier.

The Duellist - 10 points

String together a full-speed chain attack, or see another Hero do so.

Another one you will not be able to get until you have upgraded your skills, this time 3 Star Brutal Styles 'Chain Attacks' which will let you chain attacks together. Does not have to be done in battle, so find an open area, now swing your weapon and watch for a 'blue' glow right near the peak of the swing, press X again to chain another swing, repeat until this unlocks. Use a slow weapon like a Hammer if your having trouble, may take 5 - 7 swings.

The Archmage - 10 points

A Hero must kill five human enemies with one spell.

You will probably get this later during the story, once you have upgraded your spells to 4 - 5 Star for the most power. Force Push, Inferno and Shock spells work well.

The Dollcatcher - 10 points

Collect all the Hero dolls, or see another Hero collect them.

This will be the most annoying achievement to get out off the lot, you can get a generic Hero Doll from the General Store, it has British pants, another can be won from the Shooting Gallery in Westcliff by getting second place, yes not first so you have to watch your score, get between 150 and 175.

The one you get is profile based or game based or something, anyway you will get either a Garth, Reaver, Hammer, Lucien or Theresa Doll. The only way to get the other 4 you are missing is to find someone that will trade or even gift them too you so you can get the Achievement.

Most people will as long as you gift them back I found.

The Gargoyle - 25 points

Find the gargoyles’ legendary treasure.

I am not going to go into where they are all located, there are numerous guides that already have this, but there are 50 Gargoyles in total to shoot, you will need 2 Star Dextrous Styles upgrade before you can. Once you have this, as you walk around Albion you may hear 'insults' being said about you, stop and have a good look around, one is close. For each 10 you find a gate opens in the Gargoyle Cave, located under the bridge in Bowerstone Market, this gate leads to a chest and a 'pressure plate' to form a bridge. I will tell you this:

Bower Lake                        5 Gargoyles.
Bowerstone Market 4 Gargoyles.
Bowerstone Oldtown 2 Gargoyles.
Rookridge 5 Gargoyles.
Oakfield 3 Gargoyles.
Westcliff 5 Gargoyles.
Guild Cave 1 Gargoyles.
Bandit Coast 2 Gargoyles.
Brightwood 5 Gargoyles.
Bowerstone Cemetary 5 Gargoyles.
Wraithmarsh 6 Gargoyles.
Bloodstone 4 gargoyles.
Fairfax Gardens 3 Gargoyles.

There is a tricky one in Bowerstone Oldtown, its actually located in a house 'The Felling' which you will have to buy or break into to get. After all 50 are found and shot, the bridge leads to a chest, Rotten Apple you say? Look at the wall behind the chest, shoot it, follow the passage to the real treasure.

The Hoarder - 25 points

Collect every silver key, or see another Hero do so.

There are also 50 Silver Keys around Albion, as you venture around you will come across chests that require Silver Keys to open, upgrading your dog helps in finding them all, again too many to list where they all are, I will tell you this again to help:

Bower Lake                         4 Silver Keys.
Bowerstone Market 3 Silver Keys.
Bowerstone Oldtown 3 Silver Keys.
Rookridge 6 Silver Keys.
Oakfield 6 Silver Keys.
Westcliff 4 Silver Keys.
Guild Cave 1 Silver Keys.
Bandit Coast 1 Silver Keys.
Brightwood 5 Silver Keys.
Bowerstone Cemetary 4 Silver Keys.
Wraithmarsh 7 Silver Keys.
Bloodstone 5 silver keys.
Fairfax Gardens 2 Silver Keys.

Funny, I count 51, yes there is, an extra one can be found in Wraithmarsh if your good eyed. Once you have them all, there is a 50 Silver Key chest in Fairfax Castle which will give you 50,000 Gold. Sounds good? Now for the bad news, you cannot buy this until after you have completed the game. To rub salt into the wound, you will not be able to get the last Gargoyle either until then, its in Fairfax Castle also.

The Companions - 10 points

Perform a perfect co-op expression.

Grab a friend and do an expression together, it must be started at the same time, held out at least 10 seconds and finished perfectly at the same time.

The Double Threat - 10 points

Get a co-op combat bonus.

Grab a friend and go on the attack together, you will probably get this during the fight, but attacking the same target at the same time is best.

The Executioner - 10 points

Sacrifice ten people in the Temple of Shadows, or see another Hero do so.

This depends on the path you take, good or evil, taking the good path will actually destroy the Temple of Shadows in the story, meaning you cannot get this. Anyway to get access to the Temple of Shadows, you have to eat 5 crunchy chicks (can be brought) at the gates. I am not sure if all 10 must be done at once, I am guessing so, I joined my brothers game who was on an 'evil' path at the time.

The Completionist - 50 points

Get all expressions, pet tricks and abilities, or see another Hero do so.

To get this you have to get all expressions, all pet tricks and upgrade all of your skills. Some of the expressions are path based, good or evil, but I have this achievement and I do not have all the expressions, the evil ones. Also, you must have Fable 2 Pub Games.

A trick to get the skills faster, once you have upgraded to say 3 Stars, have a second controller and profile, have this join your game as a henchman, have all the experience and Gold go to your main character (or 90% of it anyway), now using the second controller, start selling the upgrades back, your main character will not be effected. Now have the second character leave the game, your main character will still have all skills as it started with but now has a lot of experience to spend on upgrades. Repeat and rinse as needed, I used this to get the last lot of upgrades I needed for this achievement.

The Paragon - 15 points

Reach 100% good or evil, or see another Hero do so.

You will get this just by playing through the game and story, does not matter what path you take, good or evil.

The Extremist - 15 points

Reach 100% purity or corruption, or see another Hero do so.

Same deal as above, you will get this just by playing through the game and story, does not matter what path you take, good or evil.

The Celebrity - 50 points

Reach 50,000 renown, or see another Hero do so.

Again, you will get this just by playing through the game and story, by completing quests (and side quests), showing off your trophies, jobs for guards (rescue slaves...), you should have it very near to the end of the story.

The Hero of Strength - 100 points

Complete The Hero of Strength.

Simple, you will get this through the story.

The Hero of Will - 100 points

Complete The Hero of Will.

Simple, you will get this through the story.

The Hero of Skill - 100 points

Complete The Hero of Skill.

Simple, you will get this through the story.

The Sacrifice - 25 points

A Hero must choose ‘The Needs of the Many’.

The last decision you will make, right at the very end of the story, you must choose one of the 3 cards. Choose this for Good and Pure.

The Family - 25 points

A Hero must choose ‘The Needs of The Few’.

The last decision you will make, right at the very end of the story, you must choose one of the 3 cards. Choose this for Good.

The Egomaniac - 25 points

A Hero must choose ‘The Needs of the One’.

The last decision you will make, right at the very end of the story, you must choose one of the 3 cards. Choose this for Evil.

So basically they are saying to us that we have to go through the game 3 times to get the last 3 Achievements in the game. But not if you know how, save your game before the final confrontation happens, just before you grab the music box. Now continue with the story, as soon as you choose one of the 3 cards and the achievement unlocks, turn the console off or get back to the dashboard fast! Otherwise the game will save a few seconds after you make your choice and over-write your save. Restart Fable 2 and reload your game save, choose one of the other 2, again turn the console off or get back to the dashboard fast before it saves. Finally, reload choose the last one.

I suggest that you choose the 2 you do not want first and the one you do want last of course.

As you can see, the bulk of the Achievements can be done in Co-Op play, makes it easier but also annoying too. If you have never played Fable 2 in Co-Op before, the camera is extremely annoying to say the least.
