This is a pretty fun game. It takes 2 play throughs, but the second won't take nearly as long as the first. In all I'd say it takes about 10-15 hours. Easy achievements if you have the time.

 

ACHIEVEMENT GUIDE

Good Job - 40 points

Complete all missions on Normal or higher game difficulty

 

Easy. I suggest using Leyviur's guide which can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/laegsd to get all the collectibles on one play through.

 

 

It Slices! It Dices! - 10 points

Upgrade a sword

 

Once you get enough blood crystals just press the BACK button to open the upgrade weapons menu.

 

 

Enter the Way of the Ninja - 10 points

Upgrade Ninjutsu

 

Same as above.

 

 

How Ya Like Me Now?! - 10 points

Complete a Todomé attack

 

You will do this after the first boss.

 

 

Yes, I Am That Good - 10 points

Achieve a 10 Hit Combo

 

Easy. Use the twin-blades on bats or when like 3 guys are around.

 

 

Not Too Shabby - 10 points

Achieve a 3 Kill Combo

 

Same as above. Cyclone Shuriken on bats is the easiest way.

 

 

Let Off Some Steam - 10 points

Use the Cyclone Shuriken to put out a fire

 

You will have to do this in the first mission anyway.

 

 

Burn, Baby, Burn - 10 points

Use the Flame Shuriken to set an enemy on fire

 

Easy. Press B

 

 

Lightning Strikes Twice - 10 points

Use the Lightning Shuriken to charge the surface of water and shock an enemy

 

Easy. Use the Lighting Shuriken when a guy is in a puddle of water.

 

 

I'm Rubber and You're Glue - 10 points

Deflect an enemy's projectile

 

Just use a normal attack when the projectile is close.

 

 

Nothing Left But the Dying - 10 points

Complete a Finish Attack

 

Self-explanatory.

 

 

Chewy on the Inside - 10 points

Destroy a piece of armor

 

Easily done with the heavy sword.

 

 

Gotta Get Them All - 10 points

Find a Shinobi Moji

Sharp Dressed Man - 10 points

Find an outfit.

 

Same as above.

 

 

Bling or Flair? - 10 points

Find an emblem

Hattori Hanzo Achievement Award - 20 points

Upgraded all swords to their maximum level

 

Ok, the Oni blade automatically upgrades to maximum at mission 8 so you don’t have to do that.

 

Second you need to collect all the Shinobi Moji and replay level 5. At the beginning of the level head forward and a little ways down where the timer starts is a new area that has opened. The last heavy sword is in there.

 

Lastly, the twin-blades max level is unlocked when you get an overall score of A for the game.

 

 

Snatch the Pebble - 20 points

Upgraded all Ninjutsu to their maximum level

 

Just use blood crystals on the normal Shirukens, but beat the game on HARD difficulty to unlock the final Ninjutsu.

 

 

I Think I'll Go for a Walk - 30 points

Max out the Health Gauge

 

Easily done if you follow the guide of where all the collectibles are.

 

 

Feel it flow through you - 30 points

Max out the Chi Gauge.

 

Same as above

 

 

Almost There - 15 points

Find 50% of the Shinobi Moji

 

Same as above

 

 

Complete Set - 30 points

Find all the Shinobi Moji

Collect all the outfits

 

Get all the secret achievements and they will also unlock outfits. The rest can just be found using the guide.

Collect all emblems

Ya Can't Touch This - 15 points

Deflect 20 projectiles

 

Easy. Just upgrade and use the double blades to deflect

 

 

One with the Blade - 15 points

Kill 25 enemies with the Finish Attack move

 

This is easiest with your main sword upgraded at least 1 lvl since it only will take about 2 hits to make the Y icon appear above the enemies head.

 

 

Mission 001: Speed Demon - 15 points

Complete Mission 001 within 30 minutes

 

Easy enough without explaining.

 

 

Mission 002: Master of Style - 15 points

Complete Mission 002 with more than 20 Finish Attacks

 

This is easiest (I think) with your main sword upgraded at least to lvl 2. Just wait for the Y icon to appear above the enemies head (should take 2-3 attacks)

 

 

Mission 003: Hit Combo Fever - 15 points

Complete Mission 003 with a Max Hit Combo above 30

 

Easy done with your double-swords.

 

 

Mission 004: Ninja Sky Marshall - 15 points

Complete Mission 004 with less than 30% jet plane damage

 

If the plane takes more than 30% damage just wait until you reach the final boss checkpoint and die on purpose. Once you restart at the checkpoint the plane’s health will be restored.

 

 

Mission 005: Nick of Time - 15 points

Complete Mission 005 within 40 minutes

 

Pretty hard to not get this one if you replay it after you’ve gotten the collectibles.

 

 

Mission 006: You Want Some? - 15 points

Complete Mission 006 with a Max Kill Combo above 10

 

Easily done when you are near 10 enemies. Let them get close and use the Cyclone Shuriken.

 

 

Mission 007: Back in a Flash - 15 points

Complete Mission 007 within 50 minutes

 

Pretty hard to not get this one if you replay it after you’ve gotten the collectibles.

 

 

Mission 008: Only a Flesh Wound - 15 points

Complete Mission 008 without taking 1000 points of damage

 

Easy on “normal”. Just block and be patient with your attacks.

 

 

Mission 009: That Just Happened! - 15 points

Complete Mission 009 without retrying

 

Easy on “normal”.

 

 

Ninja School Valedictorian - 75 points

Achieve a Total Play Result A+ ranking

 

Easily done after you’ve played through and upgraded your weapons. Just go back to any level you didn’t get an A+ on and try to get a lot of finish attacks and don’t have too many restarts.

 

 

Musashi's Way - 50 points

Complete all missions on Hard or higher game difficulty

 

Easily done after you beat them on “normal” because you will still have all your upgraded weapons and you won’t have to bother with collectibles (assuming you got them all while playing through on “normal”)

 

 

Your Work Is Done - 20 points

Complete all missions without retrying

 

Simple enough on “normal”.

 

 

A Perfect 10 - 20 points

Achieve 10 Perfect button presses in a row during a Quick Time Event

 

This can be a little difficult if you have a bad reaction time. If you have a good reaction time, however, just pick a level with 10 QTE’s towards the beginning and memorize them. If you get less than “perfect” on one just miss the next one so you can try again.

 

 

...And that's all I need - 20 points

Complete all missions using only one of the swords to attack

 

You can use the twins swords to grapple and the stonerender to break walls…just don’t use either sword to attack an enemy. I suggest just using the stonerender. It’s slow, but it kills fast.

 

 

Showboat - 20 points

Achieve a 100 Hit Combo

 

Easily done during the level 8 boss fight. Use the twin-blades.

 

 

Show-off - 20 points

Achieve a 50 Kill Combo

 

Just wait for a lot of bats and other enemies to be in the same place and use Cyclone Shuriken

 

 

These last achievements are the “secret” ones.
