Cowboy - 10 points

Accumulate 30 kills using pistols in any level

 

Start a new game on Recruit difficulty, then play the first level using the pistol as much as possible on enemies until this unlocks.

 

Soft Spot - 30 points

Accumulate 50 headshots throughout the entire game

 

Kill 50 enemies by headshots. This game has a very broad aiming range so most shots you take in the vicinity of an enemy's head will register as a headshot.

 

Gives Instead Of Takes Bullets - 50 points

Complete the game without dying on Agent or POTUS Detail difficulty

 

Start a new game on Agent difficulty and complete it without dying. This game is much easier when compared to most first person shooters, so this is relatively easy to do as long as you take your time going through levels and do not run-n-gun through them. You will want to also get the "What Are You, A Cat?" achievement in this playthrough as well.

 

Notes: If you die quickly exit to the 360 dashboard and the death won't count when you reload your game. If you die and see the Restart Level screen this will void the achievement, exiting to the dashboard is the ONLY way for your deaths not to count

 

*In firefights, always get behind cover and use the Lean Button to pop out and fire off a quick shot. Never be out in the open for more than a second or two

 

*Time your jumps around trip wires very carefully

 

*When hacking bombs, make sure all the power pieces are turned so they won't activate weak circuits

 

 

POTUS Secured - 50 points

Complete the game on any difficulty setting.

Blow up 10 fire extinguishers

 

There are fire extinguishers hanging all over walls in the game. Simply shoot ten with a gun for the achievement.

 

No Body Cares - 10 points

Destroy 20 busts in Capitol Building levels (Coup D'etat and Filibuster)

 

During the levels Coup D'etat and Filibuster, you will see statues of heads and shoulders (a/k/a/ busts) everywhere. Shoot twenty of them to unlock the achievement. You don't have to completely destroy them, one bullet is all it takes to get credit for destruction.

 

Just Like The Real Thing - 15 points

What Are You, A Cat? - 50 points

Complete the entire game without ever using nightvision (excluding while gunning in Marine One)

 

To unlock this, you can never activate night vision goggles in the game. This means it will make it much harder to see trip wires during levels of the game, but as long as you take your time while progressing through a level you will be able to spot them easily.

 

Notes: The following levels have trip wires: Urban Legend, Collateral Damage, and Rogue Agent

 

*On these levels, study every hallways thoroughly for trip wires before walking down them. A way to make this easier is go into game options and turn Brightness all the way up, you will be able to see them much easier now.

 

*It's best to do this achievement on a second playthrough after you've done the "Yeah I'm Pretty Awesome" run. You'll have an advantage, as you will know where trip wires are already.

 

Like Static With Unconciousness - 20 points

Zap 75 enemies with the Stun Gun or Taser

 

You will unlock this by the time you finish the Habeas Corpus level since all you can use is the Taser to attack your enemies. The Taser has an incredibly long distance when fired and is a one hit knock out. You will also unlock the "Don't Tase Me Bro" achievement while doing this

 

They Shouldn't Have Bunched Up - 20 points

Kill 30 enemies using hand grenades and/or the RPG

 

Start a new game and do Mission Select to the Last Stand Level. During the parts where you're on the roof firing at enemies below, throw grenades into the areas with the most people. After thirty kills this way, the achievement will pop

 

 

The Memory Of A Goldfish - 15 points

Kill 1 enemy using the tripwire laser bombs that were set by the Sentavans

 

Start a new game and do Mission Select to the Urban Legend level. In the first dark hallway with the trip wires you will enter into a shootout with the Sentavans (the terrorists). Shoot one trip wire while an enemy is close by, the ensuing explosion will earn you the achievement.

 

Turns Out They Don't Hail A Cab - 15 points

Initiate the explosion of 5 tripwire laser bombs by crossing their lasers

 

Start a new game and do Mission Select to the Urban Legend level. Simply walk into five trip wires to unlock the achievement.

 

Note: Since you will die each time, do not go for this achievement when you're going for the "Gives Instead Of Takes Bullets" achievement.

 

 

Too Lazy To Jump And Crouch - 15 points

Blow up all tripwire laser bombs in the Rogue Agent level

 

To blow up the bombs, shoot the little metal things on the wall as seen in the achievement picture. Make sure that you're a good distance away because the explosion can kill you. The trip wires are all straightforward as you progress through the level, there are no hidden or out of the way ones to worry about.

 

Note: If you are too close to a trip wire bomb, the explosion will kill you. In the case do not go for this achievement when you're going for the "Gives Instead Of Takes Bullets" achievement

 

Bullet Waltz - 20 points

Run for over 3 minutes, crouch 30 times, lean 30 times, and jump 30 times

2. I Am El Arma - after the helicopter crash, search near the copter where the terrorists were firing at you
3. All Assaults Green - near where you have to use the sniper rifle on the two RPG terrorists. Kill the hooded terrorist and he will drop it
4. Delgado DUI - after you snipe the fourth RPG terrorist on top of the Lincoln Memorial, three more enemies will attack you. The one in the orange vest drops the phone
5. Reacquire Targets - past the dead Secret Service officer against a metal fence is a tent. The phone is inside on top of a machine
6. Canisters - in the area with the four port-a-johns you will get attacked. One of the terrorists drops the phone
7. Earn Every Penny - at the end of the level you return the Lincoln Memorial for another battle with terrorists. One of them has the phone, make sure you search each one as you kill them because the level will end when they're all dead and you can miss the phone

 

Coup D'etat - 4 phones

 

1. Target Number Two - after the brief grenade tutorial, there is an office on the left. The phone is on a desk
2. Reservations - after you do the hacking mini game to open the door, three terrorists will attack you. One of them has the phone
3. Building's Wired - after you difuse the bomb, to the northeast is a green room. The phone sits on a bench
4. Vargas's Speech - when you approach a big room with a T-shaped stair case you will be attacked by more terrorists. One of them has the phone

 

Filibuster - 6 phones

 

1. Lost Control - in the hallway with three fire extinguishers, the terrorist you kill has the phone
2. Inner Circle - after diffusing the first bomb, follow its wires until it ends in a wall. The phone is on the pedestal of a statue to the immediate south
3. Not the Senate Chambers - on the long set of stairs, three terrorists will attack you. One of them carries the phone
4. For Guadalupe - in the circular room where you get attacked from both levels. One of the terrorists has the phone
5. Explosives Discovered - in the same room as the For Guadalupe phone, it's sitting on a bench to the southwest
6. Past, Present Or Future - when you drop down into the circular room, one of the terrorists attacking you carries it

 

Urban Legend - 5 phones

 

1. Diplomacy Of Death - In the tunnel with a rail car, to the east is a control room. The room to the southeast of the control room has the phone sitting on the control panel in the middle of the room
2. Wichita - when you get to the electric fence you can go left or right. Go right and you will enter a storange room with terrorists inside. One of them carries the phone
3. Garfield - after getting the Wichita Phone, go south to the next room with a catwalk. Once you get on the catwalk, the phone is to the north
4. Who Are They Talking To? - back in the tunnel with the rail car, keep moving southwest until you see a room to the right. The phone is inside
5. Invaded By Costa Sentava - after you hack a panel to open the big electric gate, there are some boxes right inside. The phone is on top of these

 

Collateral Damage - 2 phones

 

1. Pinned Down - in the darkened room one of the terrorists will drop this
2. Black And White Politics - in the Missile Silo room go down the second set of stairs and you will find the phone on the corner of the platform

 

Rogue Agent - 4 phones

 

1. The Smell Of Conspiracy - after tasering the huge room full of agents, go up the stairs and you will find the phone on a the desk in a room to the northwest
2. Shut Him Up - when you enter the big room with four turrent cameras, you will find the phone on a tarp covered crate near the far away stairs
3. Bead On Pierce - in the train depot chamber after you taser the agents one of them will drop the phone
4. Embassy On Fire - after you restore power to the train depot chamber enter the now open tunnel. This will start another firefight with more agents, one of them will drop the phone

 

Habeas Corpus - 7 phones

 

1. White House Tour - taser the agent on top of the stairs for this phone
2. Poet - after the battle with the agents that has the statue in the center of the room, go into the room to the right. There are two agents inside, one of them has the phone
3. Veep Terrorist - after you hack the door, the phone is inside on a dresser
4. Nameless Assassin - after the agents blow the door down, taser them to get the phone
5. New Sentava - in the dark room at the bottom of the stairs, taser the agents for the phone
6. Number One Observatory Circle - after you are called to the Oval Office, go down the hallway until you find a door with a keypad. Hack the door and the phone is inside on a desk
7. CVX Shipment - one of the terrorists trying to enter the Oval Office carries this phone

 

Last Stand - 4 phones

 

1. Package Was Delivered - in the center of the rose garden after the battle
2. Secure Meetings - the phone is right past the glass doors after the rose garden on the floor
3. Media Blackout - after the first time you snipe enemies from the roof, you're called back to the Oval Office for another battle. The phone is on a shelf in the office
4. Educate Him - after the second time you snipe enemies from the roof, you're called back to the Oval Office. As you cross the rose garden, the phone is on a guy near the middle of the area

 

Extraction - 5 phones

 

1. Gas - after you kill all the terrorists by the empty swimming pool, one of them will drop this phone
2. For Our Family - in the next area, you will be ambushed by enemies near a large tree. One will drop the phone when he is killed.
3. Payday - after the swimming pool, there is a dead agent by a wooden table. The phone is on him
4. Presumed Dead - kill all the terrorists under the wooden bridge, and one will drop the phone near a wooden gazebo
5. Beach House - after you get Presumed Dead Phone, look behind the hedges to find this phone

Beat the game without killing a single Secret Service Agent

 

On the levels Rogue Agent and Habeas Corpus use only the Taser on every enemy you encounter, you cannot shoot them with a gun or it will void the achievement. All the Secret Service agents you kill on the level Expatriate are evil and don't count against you.

 

Note: This achievement will unlock once you complete the game

 

Weapon Tester - 10 points

Fire each weapon in the game at least once.

 

Simply pick up each weapon in the game and shoot it, you don't have to kill an enemy.

 

 

Merciless Speed - 15 points

Kill 5 enemies in 5 seconds

 

Best done on the Extraction level while in the Marine One helicopter. The enemies stand together a lot and your copter cannon has a very wide firing berth. Hold down the right trigger, aim at large groups, and eventually the achievement will unlock.

 

Bow To No One! - 10 points

Complete any level without crouching

Complete any level without using gun sights

 

Attempt this achievement on the Coup D'etat level. Make sure you don't press Left Triiger to bring up your gun sights and you will unlock the achievement upon finishing the level. You can also get the "Bow To No One!" achievement on the same level by never using the B button.

 

White House Electrician - 20 points

Complete Habeas Corpus using only the Stun Gun and Taser on Agent or POTUS Detail difficulty

 

Keep your distance from the enemies that attack you and line up your shots carefully. It also helps to lead your aim on the enemies that run towards you.

 

The Best Defense... - 20 points

Complete Extraction with more than 50% of the helicopter armor intact

 

Start a new game and do Mission Select to the Extraction level, setting the game to Recruit Difficulty. Keep Right Trigger held down the entire time to fire. As long as you complete the level with the armour level of the helicopter above 50%, the achievement will pop. It may take a few tries, so it helps if you memorize the pattern of your enemies, making sure you kill them before they can hit you

 

 

Master Of Spin - 15 points

Win 10 hacking minigames in a row

 

From the Main Menu, go to Extras, and then Mini Game. For settings select Custom and then set all the grid numbers as low as you can. Play this now super easy game thirty times, and you will unlock this and the "Just Like The Real Thing" achievement.

 

Cameraman - 15 points

Complete any level without getting hit even once by a turret

 

Start a new game and do Mission Select to the the Urban Legend level. This level only has seven turrets, you cannot get shot by a single one in order to get the achievement.

 

1. Turret 1 - this sits in a room at the end of the tunnel where you get the night vision goggles with a sign that says M2M1

2. Turrets 2 & 3 - these are near the computer panel you have to hack to open the fence

3. Turrets 4 & 5 - after you hack the panel to open the fence, one will be on each side of the door that opens

4. Turrets 6 & 7 - after you destroy the fifth turret, head down the hall. They are in an area with laser beams and a sign that says Storage A1-3 on it

Playing For Keeps - 20 points

Complete any level on POTUS Detail difficulty without dying

 

The Inaugural Assault level is the best place to do this. Take your time, go slow, and always go for headshots.

 

Hopefully No Long Term Effects... - 10 points

Receive 15 hits from high voltage fences without dying from electric shock

 

The Urban Legend level is the best place to do this. After your first battle in the level, go to end of the hallway to the electrified fence and walk into it. Repeat this 15 times to unlock the achievement. Don't linger too long when getting shocked or it will kill you so beware if you're going for the no dying achievements.

 

In Just 30 Seconds A Day - 10 points

Perform 5 crouches, 5 leans and run for 10 seconds all in under 30 seconds

 

The tutorial during the Inaugural Assault level is the best place to unlock this and the "Bullet Waltz" achievement, as there are no enemies. You run by clicking in the left thumb stick and moving forward. Press B to crouch. Hold the Left Bumper down and move the Left Analog Stick left or right to lean.

 

 

Five Birds With One Boom - 20 points

Eliminate 5 or more enemies with a single explosion (use grenades, RPG or Trip Wire Bombs)

 

Start a new game and do Mission Select to the Habeas Corpus level on Recruit difficulty. When you get to the point where the terrorists are trying to get into the Oval Office, there will be three men outside the door shooting. Keep running around this area until you get five or more following you and bunched up around the door.

 

Throw a grenade right into the middle of this group. This can be tricky due to the game's poor grenade physics and might take you a few tries. What I did was stood behind a column, threw the grenade at the door, and it would bounce off just enough to explode all kill all five.

 

 

Camera Shy - 20 points

Destroy 25 turret cameras

Destroy all turret cameras

 

You will get this and the "Camera Shy" achievement when you finish the Rogue Agent level as long as you destroy all twenty seven turret cameras in the game. The key to finding all twenty seven is failing the Hacking Minigames twice where you have to open doors, this will summon several Turret Cameras that wouldn't otherwise be there.

 

Urban Legend Level - 7 turrets

 

1. Turret 1 - this sits in a room at the end of the tunnel where you get the night vision goggles with a sign that says M2M1
2. Turrets 2 & 3 - these are near the computer panel you have to hack to open the fence
3. Turrets 4 & 5 - after you hack the panel to open the fence, one will be on each side of the door that opens
4. Turrets 6 & 7 - after you destroy the fifth turret, head down the hall. They are in an area with laser beams and a sign that says Storage A1-3 on it

 

Collateral Damage - 8 turrets

 

1. Turrets 1 & 2 - towards the beginning of the level as you move down the hallway
2. Turrets 3 & 4 - Fail the first computer panel that you have to hack twice, this will summon these turrets
3. Turrets 5 & 6 - after you destroy Turrets 3 & 4, hack the door and go down the hall. You will see these turrets right before you have to jump over the fence to advance
4. Turrets 7 & 8 - located in the Storage Area C1 dark room

 

Rogue Agent - 12 turrets

 

1. Turrets 1-4 - in the large Supply Depot A room at the beginning of the level, one is in each corner
2. Turrets 5-8 - in the dark hallway that connects Supply Depot A and the train depot chamber room
3. Turrets 9 & 10 - as you crawl under the rail tracks on the way to the Power Systems Cooling room
4. Turret 11 - at the end of the laser mined hallway on the way to the Power Systems Cooling
5. Turret 12 - after you jump over the fence, this one hangs above the hallway that leads to the generators
