If you have been following our Twitter Tweets, then you may have realized we tipped that Joy Ride, the planned avatar-based free-to-play game for Xbox Live Arcade, may no longer be free. More surprisingly according to CVG, the game has apparently been reworked to include Natal support....

The game will come as a retail disc and be launched at E3, however I am sure now the interest in the game will wane. People were only interested in this avatar racing game as it was free and I can't see them being interested in it anymore. The era of free games - and free achievements - on Xbox Live seem to be numbered as there also has been no free Dorito's game since Dash Of Destruction in 2008. As for the name Joy Ride - meaning a free ride in a stolen vehicle - should be changed now to No Free Rides.

Joy Ride will be launched at E3.
