Dragon Age Origins is crud.

After trying to complete the one of the last remaining quests, I died in a battle inside a cave. The next thing I know I respawn out of the cave and the game has taken me right near the beginning of the game. All my weapons, upgrades and SAVES gone!

This game takes forever and I cannot bring myself to start again. I was writing an achievement guide and now I will bin it.

I posted this on the Bioware forums and someone else had the same problem. So if anyone is thinking of getting this game, you are taking a risk!

Something somewhat similar happened to a friend of mine, only he was in a town not a cave and when he went into a house or something it basically started him over again.

He had another one too where he walked too close to a cliff and for some reason that erased EVERY SINGLE NPC in the game so he had to start over (again).

Outside of the Mass Effect series, BioWare does have some of the glitchest games in existance. I mean, Star Wars KOTOR is one of my favourite games of all time but its engine feels like it was held together with band-aids and chewing gum.

I've been trying to make myself go and finish this game but I just came seem to get the drive to do it.

I just finished the Awakenings DLC this morning and it was RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUBISH. Interesting to note though: you can get all the level 20 achievements from the main game in less than an hour if you have it.

Well it appears that the moral of the story might well be to back up your save game on a memory stick (just in case).. it is a god awful game and im glad i read the problems people are having first because i would hate to have to start the whole thing again...
