DefaultXbox live price increase
As of November first the price of gold memberships on xbox live will increase. Xbox live's major nelson, made the announcement on his blog. The link can be found below.

Price increases will take effect in the U.S., UK, Canada, and Mexico. The new rates are listed below. As said on major nelson's blog, if a membership type is not listed then it will not be changed on Nov. 1.

U.S. prices
1 month - $9.99
3 month - $24.99
12 month - $59.99

UK prices
1 month - 5.99 gbp

Canada prices
1 month - 9.99 cad

Mexico prices
599 pesos

This price change is being said that it is necessary to keep up with inflation and also the ever groing extra services offered on live (facebook, twitter, netflix, etc.). Either way I personally dont find it to be a huge deal. I enjoy xbox live and I have never minded paying for a top notch online service such as xbox live. I will continue to pay and enjoy its reliability over the Playstation Servers that are free, and dont even get me started on the Wii.

Yep the UK is pretty lucky. Even though it is inly 10 dollars it sucks that we in the US have to pay more... oh well, guess i could just stop playing online

Yeah right. That would be the day. Especially with Reach coming out on Tuesday...

To be honest UK have been paying over the top for ages now, even with your price increase we are still paying more than you for 12 months subscription.. Our price is £39.99 and yours works out at £38.81, your original price worked out to £32.35..

You should feel a little better now, i suppose thats why our price didn't go up.

Thank god for flea bay, been paying about £31.00 for 12 months since i objected to pay MS to much money, after all they are hardly short of a bob or two.

Wouldn't mind the price increase if they added an Internet browser. It's a great service, but a little pricey.
