If there is one thing lacking on Xbox Live compared to the mobile and PC game markets, it is that there are not enough free-to-play games. The free-to-play model where games are supported by micro-transactions is huge and it could well be heading to Xbox Live...

 

Play the game and then purchase experience points, weapons and currency if you want to go further. Knowing Microsoft, they would probably charge to unlock achievements so don't be surprised if they do. It makes perfect business sense; to them. Unlock the achievement but pay if you want it to appear on your Gamertag. Held to ransom, blackmail, daylight robbery, call it what you will,  but what exactly can you do if you want the achievement so badly?
