So we still have not finished the fight as Microsoft have announced at E3 a new trilogy with Halo 4, due next year. Despite it's title, this is a whole brand new trilogy that will see the Halo franchise last another few years.

 

During an earlier announcement - as expected - Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary was also confirmed.

 

Halo 4 is due a holiday 2012 release
