You can easily get about 700 achievement points from Cabela's African Safari with little effort, but for the rest you will need to play on Expert Mode. The difficult part about Expert Mode is that there is no GPS on your HUD, so you have to find, or remember where all your game and trophy animals are. There is also a timer on the hunts which can be annoying. However, there are tips to make expert a little easier.

ACHIEVEMENT GUIDE

Safari Hunt Learning - 10 points

Complete the tutorial lessons.

Press "Y" on the main menu to enter the tutorial. You have to do the entire tutorial for the achievement to unlock.

First Blood - 10 points

Hunt your first game animal in the Safari Hunt Mode.

You will get this after shooting your first game animal.

Hunter Super Sense - 15 points

Take two game animals in the same use of Hunter Sense ability, except in Wing and Herd missions.

Select Safari, South Africa, then "Hunt 4 Springboks". As soon as you start, turn around, press "Y" and select a 12 gauge, then hit hunter's sense on, then shoot. Should get two animals easy. If you miss, just restart the map.

Super Adrenaline - 15 points

Complete a mission using only Adrenaline Mode to hunt.

Easy. Simply wait for your first trophy mission and then shoot your Trophy animal with Adrenaline Mode on.

Fast and Perfect - 20 points

Take a perfect shot in less than 1 minute of playing.

Use the same mission as "Hunter Super Sense" above. Select South Africa, then "Hunt 4 Springboks". This time, just turn around, turn on Hunter's sense and shoot.

Super Long Shot - 20 points

Take a Trophy from over 150 yards.

Try Mozambique, Hunt 3 Bonteboks. First find them, then using your scope, back out until you reach 150 yards. This map is very flat, but when you back out, find a little elevation if you can. These Bonteboks are quite big, so you should be able to get a head shot quite easily.

All Game Modes Unlocked - 20 points

Unlock all game modes from the Main Menu.

This will unlock after you have finished South Africa.

.44 Custom Handgun Unlocked - 30 points

Unlock the .44 Custom Handgun.

You earn points on your hunts. After a certain number of points, these guns will unlock. On the herd missions, try shooting the trophy animal (they are supposedly darker than the other herd) as you get 1000 points, if you do. You probably get most of these without even thinking about it.

.243 Custom Firearm Unlocked - 30 points

Unlock the .243 Custom Firearm.

.300 Custom Firearm Unlocked - 30 points

Unlock the .300 Custom Firearm.

.416 Custom Firearm Unlocked - 30 points

Unlock the .416 Custom Firearm.

.505 Custom Firearm Unlocked - 30 points

Unlock the .505 Custom Firearm.

.410 O&U Custom Shotgun Unlocked - 30 points

Unlock the .410 O&U Custom Shotgun.

12 Ga Custom Shotgun Unlocked - 30 points

Unlock the 12 Ga Custom Shotgun.

Turtle Dove Perfect Wing - 40 points

Take 5 Turtle Doves in Safari Hunt without missing a shot.

You just need to shoot five game birds without missing a shot. If you do miss, just reload the map. They are not hard to miss anyway. These achievements, however only unlock when you are hunting on foot. The hunts in a boat do not count.

Egyptian Goose Perfect Wing - 40 points

Take 5 Egyptian Geese in Safari Hunt without missing a shot.

See "Turtle Dove Perfect Wing" achievement above.

Spur Winged Goose Perfect Wing - 40 points

Take 5 Spur Winged Geese in Safari Hunt without missing a shot.

See "Turtle Dove Perfect Wing" achievement above.

Red Billed Teal Perfect Wing - 40 points

Take 5 Red Billed Teals in Safari Hunt without missing a shot.

See "Turtle Dove Perfect Wing" achievement above.

Yellow Billed Duck Perfect Wing - 40 points

Take 5 Yellow Billed Ducks in Safari Hunt without missing a shot.

See "Turtle Dove Perfect Wing" achievement above.

Rock Pigeon Perfect Wing - 40 points

Take 5 Rock Pigeons in Safari Hunt without missing a shot.

See "Turtle Dove Perfect Wing" achievement above.

Dangerous Seven - 40 points

Complete the Dangerous Seven Mode.

Once you have killed a trophy mission animal, you will unlock the animal for this mode. Just go into this mode and re-hunt them all again, to unlock the achievement.

Ambient Guardian - 45 points

Finish the Safari Hunt without being penalized.

Right, you get penalties if you shoot an animal you are not supposed to be hunting. The game will give you a warning and at the end of the hunt, a summary will show you penalty points, if you shot anything illegal. You have to be ZERO penalty points at the end of the entire Safari Hunt for this achievement. This can be slightly difficult as there are a lot of pesky animals that bother you during a hunt, like wild dogs, etc. You will know it when, "dramatic music" comes on, you are being chased. You are not supposed to shoot these annoying animals.

However there are TWO ways to avoid penalty points. First, if you happen to shoot an illegal animal, like during a herd mission, just re-start the map and try again.

If you are on a normal hunt on foot, and some stupid wild dog keeps getting in your way, shoot them with ADRENALINE. This will not count against you! This is especially handy if you do not want to re-start the map, when you have only one more animal to kill.

Wing Shooting Tournament - 40 points

Earn 40,000 points or more in the Wing Shooting Tournament.

This is not that hard to get. Just earn 40,000 points in the Wing Shooting Tournament. If you run out of bullets, just switch guns and keep going.

Leopard Expert Trophy - 45 points

Take down the Leopard Trophy in Safari Hunt on Expert Mode.

You need to hunt trophy mission animals in Expert mode. Shooting the actual trophy animal isn't that hard. It's finding all the other hunts with a timer that is difficult. To make matters worse, you have no GPS.

The only way you can tell if you are near a game animal, is to use your scope and if your reticule turns red, then you are near a game animal. The timer can also be really annoying on Expert, especially if you only have one more kill and you are running around trying to find it!

However, here are some tips to make things a little easier

Try to remember where your game animals were the first time, when you played on Easy. Helps to go at least in the general direction.
Use adrenaline to shoot those pesky illegal animals that keep bothering you, with a handgun if possible. This is faster and you won't lose time running away from them.
Use a handgun on the smaller animals. It fires much, much faster and has more rounds. You may need to equip it for each hunt.
If you stumble on a animal, use Hunter Sense and fire at the animal with a handgun. You will wound it at least. This works especially if you stumble into a pack. Wound them all, then finish them off with a rifle. Saves running after them.
Scan with your scope constantly, to find your game animals.

Black Rhino Expert Trophy - 45 points

Take down the Black Rhino Trophy in Safari Hunt on Expert Mode.
