EA Online Pass (Game Tax) - Important Update

I decided to start a petition & Poll to see if we can collectively with other forums overturn this decision to charge people extra for online gaming.

For those who do not already know, EA Sports (currently only sports division) are going to insert a 1 time code with all new titles. This code will allow access to online gaming servers, once used the code can not be re-used therefore if you sell the game to other people they will have to purchase another code from EA for $10. EA along with many other publishers do not like the second hand game market, I think the main objections are that EA will not only charge for using their servers but will shut them down as and when they like meaning you may pay $10 but that does not mean you will be able to play for very long and all online achievements become unobtainable.

Sign me right up. I think this is a total outrage. I thought that when you bought a game, that was your pass to play online. I guess that's not enough anymore. This borders on extortion in my opinion.
