Halo: Reach is a fairly easy 1000G, and shouldn’t prove too much trouble for avid gamers. It is definitely one of the easiest campaigns in the franchise, which is good considering that you have to run through it on Legendary alone. Overall, I’d say the difficulty is about a 7/10 with you being able to get the original 1000G in about 40 hours. 15 for Campaign, 25 for Multiplayer and leveling up to Lt. Colonel for what will presumably be your last achievement. If you’re a Halo junkie like myself, feel free to jump right into Legendary campaign by yourself, but if you aren’t, try and run through it with some friends to try and get a feel for the campaign before jumping in. Don’t just go for the achievements though, have fun with it. You can put literally hundreds of hours into playing online and never stop having a great time.

Halo: Reach is not particularly hard on Legendary if you are playing with friends who know what they’re doing. The achievements are stackable, so if you and three friends beat the game together on Legendary you will get all three of these achievements.

A Monument to All Your Sins-150g
Completed every mission on Halo: Reach alone, on Legendary.
This achievement can be very tough. If you’ve played all of the Halo games and know what you are doing, feel free to jump right in by yourself. However, if you are new, you may want to play through with some friends to get a feel of how to do each mission so that you can speed run through it by yourself. Just remember to always play tactically, using nades nonstop and letting your fellow Spartans do their part of the killing. Advancing slowly but surely is much better than continually running through and dying hoping to get lucky.

These achievements all come naturally through story progression.

They’ve Always Been Faster-25g
Cleared the 2nd mission without setting foot in a drivable vehicle.There’s only one point in the second mission where it tells you to step in a drivable vehicle. Just keep walking, and once you get through that part you’ll get the achievement.

Two Corpses in One Grave-25g
Killed two vehicles at once with the Target Locator in the 3rd mission.After going through the main courtyard at the beginning of the 3rd mission, you’ll come into a garage. There you’ll find a Target Locator. This gun directs planes to fly overhead and bomb the crap out of a certain area. Grab it, and in a second the garage doors will open and you’ll get a checkpoint. Out in a field there will be two Wraiths. Wait for them to get near each other and fire. If you only get one of them, just revert to the last save and try again.

Banshees Fast and Low-25g
Hijacked a banshee during the Reach campaign.
During a few of the missions there will be banshees flying overhead. To get this achievement, you need to hijack one. The easiest mission to do this on is Tip of the Spear at Rally Point Bravo. At the start there is some wreckage next to you. Among weapons and health packs there is a jet pack armor ability. Snag it and proceed towards the spire. Above you you will see some banshees flying decently low. Time it right and give it a go until you jet pack up there and get one for the achievement.

Your Heresy Will Stay your Feet-25g
Killed the Elite Zealot before he escaped during the 5th mission.
As you go through the mission, you will hear the AI tell you that there is a high-ranking Elite at this site, but it’s not priority to kill him. Continue through, and in a bit you should see him. Keep following him and shooting him, making sure not to let him get away. If you’re still close to him when you near the end of this area, he’ll turn around and fight you. Slay him, and you will earn yourself an achievement.

If They Came To Hear Me Beg-25g
Performed an Assassination against an Elite to survive a fall that would've been fatal.
This achievement is one of the trickiest in the game. The easiest part by far is at the beginning of the mission “Pillar of Autumn”. You walk up to a cliff, and can see an Elite walking around below you. Sprint and jump off the cliff, making sure to stop sprinting while you’re still very high in the air, as it will not be fatal if you are sprinting. When you are about a foot above the Elite, hold the melee button. With some luck you should assassinate him and survive the fall, earning the achievement in the process. This achievement can take a while, but is not too hard.

Wake up Buttercup-25g
Destroyed the Corvette's engines & escort in under 3 minutes in the 6th mission on Heroic or harder.
After you exit the Cutscene in space on the mission “Long Night of Solace”, fly straight behind the Corvette and take aim at one of its four engines. As soon as it says Objective Updated, start firing your missiles. After that engine blows up, aim at another one. Once all four are destroyed, start flying around destroying banshees. Don’t wait for it to say Objective Updated this time, as you will lose valuable time.

Tank Beats Everything-25g
Finished the 9th mission on Legendary with the Scorpion intact.
A short ways into the 9th mission, you find a random Scorpion tank on the ground. Get in there, and advance through the mission. This part can be tricky, but after you die some you should know where all of the enemies are and be able to beat it fairly easily.

Lucky Me-25g
Earned a Triple Kill while Jetpacking in Campaign, Firefight or Matchmaking
Just hold the jetpack button while killing enemies in Firefight, and this is yours. This should easily be gotten at the same time as “Game, Set, Match” and all of the other Firefight achievements.

KEEP IT CLEAN-5g
Killed 7 Moa during the 2nd mission of the Campaign.
Moa are those funny-looking ostrich things on the mission “Winter Contingency”. They only take one bullet to kill, and there a ton of them running around. Kill seven of them and you’re done.

I Didn’t Train to Be a Pilot-10g
Killed 3 of the anti-aircraft batteries during the 8th mission.
The anti-aircraft batteries are the turrets that shoot green explosives at you. It’s almost impossible to NOT get this achievement, unless you go out of your way to not kill any of them.

Doctor, Doctor-5g
Used a Health Pack to replenish life after taking body damage.
After your shields are taken all the way down, you start losing health, which doesn’t replenish naturally. Whenever you see that your health isn’t full, find a Health Pack, the big white things with red crosses on them. Hold the pick-up weapon button, and your health should replenish.

That’s a Knife-10g
Performed an Assassination on an enemy.
You perform an assassination by going up behind an enemy and holding the melee button. There is a designated part in the mission “Nightfall” where you’re told to assassinate an Elite, so you should get this achievement naturally.

I See You Favor a .45-10g
Killed 10 enemies in a Firefight or Campaign session with the M6G pistol.See “An Elegant Weapon”

An Elegant Weapon-10g
Killed 10 enemies in a Firefight or Campaign session with the DMR
You should absolutely get this naturally during campaign, but if you don’t, simply follow the rules from “A Spoonful of Blamite” but swap out the Needler for this gun.

Swap Meet-10g
Traded weapons with an AI ally in Campaign
In campaign you’re able to trade weapons with the Marines that fight alongside you. Walk up to a Marine and hold the pick-up weapon button, and he should willingly trade you guns. After that, achievement unlocked.

A Spoonful of Blamite-10g
Killed 10 enemies in Firefight or Campaign with a supercombine explosionA supercombine explosion is when you put so many needles into an enemy that they explode. The weapons you can do this with are the Needle Rifle and the Needler, although I’d recommend the Needler. If you don’t naturally get this in campaign, just go into Firefight and make your own gametype where you spawn with a Needler. Kill ten enemies and you’re done.

Be My Wingman, Anytime-5g
Let a teammate spawn on you 5 times in an Invasion Matchmaking gameIn Invasion when you die, you can spawn by your teammates if they’re in a safe place. Just go into Invasion and hide in the back. Your teammates will keep rushing out and dying and spawning on you. You should get this pretty quickly.

Yes, Sensei-10g
Earned a First Strike Medal in a Matchmaking game.
The first strike medal is awarded for getting the very first kill of the game. You should get this naturally while playing matchmaking. If you have any trouble with it, just start new games and spring straight at the enemy and nade them from the beginning.

Skunked-10g
Won a game of Invasion in the 1st phase
This achievement is pretty self-explanatory. Simply go into a game of Invasion (preferably with a team) and hope you get the defense team. If you do get defense, just stop the other team from scoring once. When you do that, you’ll unlock the achievement.

What’s a Killing Spree?-5g
Earned a Killing Spree in multiplayer Matchmaking.
A killing spree is when you get 5 straight kills without dying. This shouldn’t be too hard for anybody to get. If you are having trouble with it, I’d recommend camping with a shotgun or sword in the Rumble Pit playlist. It’s very easy to get kills in there.

Crowd Control-10g
Earned a Killionaire medal in Firefight.
See “Game, Set, Match”

Knife to a Gunfight-5g
As an Elite, killed 5 Spartan players in Matchmaking.
Go into the Invasion playlist, and you should get this while you’re on the Elite team. If you don’t, just try again.

Score Attack-10g
Scored 15,000 points in Score Attack Firefight Matchmaking
To get this achievement you don’t actually have to be in Score Attack. Just go into the Firefight Arcade playlist, and you should have no problems getting 15,000 points.

Firestarter-10g
Scored 50,000 points in a Firefight game.

Scored 200,000 points in a Firefight game

Completed a Firefight set on Legendary without dying.
This achievement is very easy due to the fact that you can change Firefight settings. You can make your own gametype where you have infinite rockets as ammo and you are invulnerable. With these settings, you can very easily and quickly blow through this achievement (make sure you are on Legendary difficulty, though). While getting this one, you will most likely get all of the others for getting a million points, two hundred thousand, etc. The only one that might give you a little trouble is getting a Killionaire, but I’m sure that eventually you will see ten enemies together that you can destroy with your rockets and/or Fuel Rod Gun.

Make it Rain-10g
Purchased an item from the Armory that required the rank of Lt. ColonelOnce you reach Lt. Colonel, you will unlock new items for purchase in the Armory. Simply buy any of these, and the achievement is yours. I would recommend buying the blue visor, because it’s the prettiest.

The Start of Something-15g
Reached the rank of Corporal in the UNSC

The rank of Captain is one of the earlier ranks. It will take a while to get there, but shouldn’t take too long. If you go through campaign and aren’t a Captain, just go play online for a while.

A Storage Solution-5g
Used the File Browser to upload a file to your File Share.
The File Share is your way of showing people your creations. You can upload custom game variants, map variants, films, or screenshots to your file share. Once you’ve made one of these items, look at its options and there should be one for “Upload to File Share”. After it finishes uploading, the achievement is yours.

Completed all of the Daily Challenges in a given day.

Make it Drizzle-10g
Purchased an item from the Armory.
You can purchase items from the Armory with Credits you earn. After you’ve earned enough to buy anything, just pause it and go to The Armory and buy anything.

Cool File, Bro-5g
Recommended a file to someone.
After you’ve uploaded a file to your file share, simply look at it and hit “Recommend to Friends” and this achievement will pop.

Lemme Upgrade ya-10g
Advanced a Commendation to a Silver state.
Commendations in Halo: Reach are ways that you can keep track of certain feats, i.e. how many headshots you have, how many assists you have, how many multikills you have, etc. It is very simple to advance one to Silver. By the time you beat the Campaign and the “Make It Rain” achievement, you practically have to have this one.

One Down, 51 to Go-10g
Completed a Weekly Challenge
When you press start and go to the “Challenges” area on the pause screen, you will see a list of challenges. The very bottom is the weekly challenge. If you don’t want to do that one, just wait a week and it will change. Simply complete one of them, and this achievement is yours.


NOBLE MAP PACK ACHIEVEMENTS.

Both Barrels-50g
Noble 1: Earn a Double Kill with the shotgun in multiplayer Matchmaking.The shotgun is a close range weapon. To get this, you simply have to kill two enemies with it within four seconds of each other. This is fairly easy, and should come naturally through playing.

Cross Mappin’-50g
Noble 1: Kill a player at long range with the DMR in a matchmade Slayer game
For the kill to be counted as long range, you have to be able to look at the enemy through your scope and the reticule not turn red. This is a VERY long way away. Just go to into the “Big Team Battle” or “Invasion” playlists, and you should get a big map. Once you do, simply go to high ground and look across the map for enemies to shoot.

Offensive Driver-20g
Noble 1: Earn a kill in a matchmade Rocket Race game.
Rocket Race is a very odd gametype where everyone has rocket launchers and drives around in warthogs. The problem is that people are invincible in rocket race, so you have to assassinate them to get the achievement. Just drive around flipping warthogs with your rocket launcher, and when the people get out, jump out and try to assassinate them.

Poppin’ and Lockin’-25g
Noble 1: Destroy a vehicle using Armor Lock in a matchmade gameArmor Lock is an armor ability that makes you invincible for a short time. Also, if a vehicle runs into it full speed, the vehicle will blow up. Turn on armor lock as your armor ability in a matchmade game, and if someone starts driving at you in a vehicle, hit armor lock right before they get to you. They should explode and get you the achievement.

Totally Worth it-50g
Noble 1: Earn a Double Kill from the Grave in multiplayer Matchmaking.Kills from the grave are kills that you get after you die. The easiest way to get this is to run into a big group of enemies on a suicide mission, and then stick one right before you die. Hopefully you will die and then it will get you a double kill, netting you this achievement.

You Ate All the Chips-42g
Noble 1: Collect all of the flags in a matchmade Stockpile game.
This achievement can be difficult, and I would recommend boosting for it or doing it with a full team. In Stockpile, there is a 60 second “capture” period where you can take flags from around the map and put them in a circular capture area, and if they are still there at the end of the capture period they will be taken up for points. For this achievement, you have to get all four of the flags on the map to capture at the same time.

You Blew it Up!-13g
Noble 1: Blow up the research facility in a matchmade Invasion game on Breakpoint.
Go into the Invasion playlist and vote for the map Breakpoint when you get an option. When you’re an offense, you have to completely win the round. There are three “phases” and winning the final one blows up the research facility and nets you this achievement.


DEFIANT MAP PACK ACHIEVEMENTS.

Defiant: Successfully return two flags in a matchmade CTF game
This achievement is very easy, and should come naturally in multiplayer games. Returning the flag means that in a CTF game, somebody takes your flag and then drops it without capturing it. Simply go sit on it until it returns to your base for it to count as a recovery. Rinse and repeat and the achievement is yours.

Crackin’ Skulls-45g
Defiant: Kill 3 players with the Oddball in a matchmade Oddball game
In Oddball games, the objective is to carry a skull around to get points. While holding the skull, you can punch somebody once and they will die. Do this three times and the achievement is yours!

Candy from a Baby-75g
Defiant: Capture two flags from an enemy capture zone in a matchmade Stockpile game.
This achievement can be rather tricky, and I would recommend boosting for it or at least getting a team together to help you. You have to wait for the enemy to drop a flag in their capture zone, then take that flag and go put it in yours and let it get captured. You have to do it twice in one game for the cheevo.

I think ODST was by far the hardest with the vidmasters, but i think halo 3 is actually the easiest.

Solo legendary is harder in reach to me, and getting the assassination on the elite, or all flags in a round of stockpile without boosting, reach had some really hard ones.
