DefaultXbox Accounts Being Hacked
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

Its being reported that "Xbox live accounts" are being "Hacked" and money is going missing from peoples credit cards etc. M$ are stating that this is down to bogus sites and people entering their account details.

Well i can confirm in my case this is incorrect, as i am very careful with my login details and the same has just happened to me, hence my account is frozen for review for the next month.

Keep an eye on account transactions, mine was for £29.99 against MW2.

Hopefully they simplified the process to remove the info. I removed one a few years back and it took almost two months to actually be removed.

I wish i could say yes, in this case however no both Fifa 11 & 12 are preview disc copies supplied from a friend in the industry.

I have seen all of the claims about hacking from the newspapers, and the counter claims from M$ about website phishing. I can't say how mine was hacked if indeed it was but i can say that it wasn't from any bogus sites or mis-clicking.

The actual purchase on my account was on the same day they rolled out their new web front end, so wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't an issue with that, but alas i doubt they will ever actually inform me.

Either way, i would just like to draw people's attention to the danger of the internet, and please, please be careful when entering personal information anywhere. If my £29.99 loss means it stops others getting robbed online then im happy
