It might be just coincidence, but the Playstation Network has been down since Wednesday and Microsoft are offering FREE TO PLAY GOLD this weekend? Not like Microsoft to kick Sony when they're down, is it?...
If you just picked up Portal 2 or even Mortal Kombat, think of those poor PS3 users that are unable to play online due to their Playstation Network being hacked. Let them know that Microsoft are letting all European free account holders - because the PS3 is huge in Europe of course - all the features of a Gold Subscription THIS weekend. From 23 - 25 April, all Xbox 360 free account holders will have access to features reserved for Gold members including online multiplayer. No word on other territories yet, but if the Playstation Network continues to stay down, who knows?
