The trouble with scary movies or games is that you have to feel empathy for the main protagonist or you don't feel scared. So it's hard to feel any empathy in the trailer for Silent Hill Downpour when there is loud 90's dad-rock playing in the background. If you going to sell a scary game, you need to make the trailer really super scary...
Bring in moody music, like Alan Wake-esque music. Other than that, the game looks good and promising.
Silent Hill Downpour is due in October, 2011.
