News is always a bit slow post-Christmas pre-New Year as a lot of people just don't turn up for work. So I thought I would post a non-achievement related news discovered a couple of days ago that seemed odd. From January 1st 2012, Xbox 360 Avatars will no longer have the right to wield a weapon...
Obviously wielding a Lancer is scary to the kids that visit your profile and promotes violence against your parents or something. Unlike actually playing Gears of War 3. I always found it strange that Microsoft allowed the practice anyway compared to other things Avatars are not allowed to do. The interesting part of this story is that you are allowed to keep your gun should you purchase before January 1st. Expect virtual gun sales to sky rocket then.
