Alright so I am gonna list the achievements in the order of my roadmap up top so I will start with the achievements you will get as you go through on Veteran. Here it goes:
Please bear in mind that as this is an achievement guide for the campaign, there are obviously going to be some spoilers. There is no way to explain some of the achievements without kind of spoiling the campaign a little bit.
VETERAN PLAYTHROUGH
Cold Warrior - 25 points
Complete "Operation 40", "Vorkuta", and "Executive Order" on Veteran difficulty
For tips and tricks and help, see "BLACK OP MASTER."
Down and Dirty - 25 points
Complete "SOG" and "The Defector" on Veteran difficulty
For tips and tricks and help, see "BLACK OP MASTER."
It's your funeral - 25 points
Complete "Numbers," "Project Nova" and "Victor Charlie" on Veteran difficulty
For tips and tricks and help, see "BLACK OP MASTER."
Not Today - 25 points
Complete "Crash Site," "WMD" and "Payback" on Veteran difficulty
For tips and tricks and help, see "BLACK OP MASTER."
Burn Notice - 25 points
Complete "Rebirth" and "Redemption" on Veteran difficulty

Sacrifice - 10 points
Ensure your squad escapes safely from Cuba
This will unlock when you beat "Operation 40" for the first time on any difficulty. It is the first level and after your squad hops in the plane and you jump out to clear the runway the mission will be over and the achievement is yours.
Give me liberty, or give me death - 10 points
Escape Vorkuta
This unlocks once you complete the second mission, "Vorkuta," on any difficulty. You will be in the back of a truck on a machine gun mowing down enemies and you will jump onto a train, and the mission will be over.
VIP - 10 points
Receive orders from Lancer
You receive this achievement in between the third and fourth missions. So after you complete the third mission, "U.S.D.D," you are taken into the pentagon and you have a chat with President Kennedy. He will tell you what he wants you to do and the achievement will unlock as you start the next mission.
A safer place - 10 points
Sabatoge the Soviet space program
You get this after you complete the fourth mission, "Executive Order" on any difficulty. You fight through a bunch of Russians, your buddy tries to stop the missile on the computer but it doesn't work, so you grab the valkyrie rockets and blow the hell out of the missile. BOOM, achievement yours.
Looks don't count - 10 points
Break the seige in the battle of Khe Sanh
You should have noticed a pattern by now, all these 10 Gamerscore achievements are for beating the levels. You get these for beating them on any difficulty. I don't want to ruin the endings to all the missions so Ill just say you get this at the end of the 5th mission, "S.O.G"
SOG Rules - 10 points
Retrieve the dossier and the defector from Hue City
Complete the sixth mission, "The Defector" on any difficulty to receive this achievement.
Broken English - 10 points
Escape Kowloon
Complete the seventh mission, "Numbers" on any difficulty to receive this achievement.
Some wounds never heal - 10 points
Escape the past
Complete the eighth mission, "Project Nova" on any difficulty to receive this achievement.
Never get off the boat - 10 points
Find the Soviet connection in Laos
Complete the ninth mission, "Crash Site" on any difficulty to receive this achievement.
Clarity - 10 points
Crack the code
Complete the fourteenth mission, "Revelations" on any difficulty to receive this achievement.
Stand Down - 35 points
Complete the campaign on any difficulty
Simple as it sounds. If you are following my roadmap you will get it after you complete "Redemption" on veteran, or if not whenever you play through all the levels on any difficulty and complete the last mission you will get this achievement.
BLACK OP MASTER - 100 points
Complete the campaign on Hardened or Veteran difficulty
Yes it says Hardened or Veteran, but with all the other achievements for beating most of the levels on Veteran you might as well just play through on Veteran. Now I won't lie to you, there are some parts on Veteran that took me a little bit and I died a few times. But all in all, I did not find Veteran to be overwhelmingly hard. Just concentrate on a few things while playing through the game on Veteran.
One, stay in cover. The enemy AI is pretty good. If they can see you, they will shoot you, and you don't take many shots to die. So what you need to do is get behind some cover, make sure your screen has no red on it from getting shot, and pop out a little bit and shoot as many as you can. Then get right back to cover immediately. Do this until the place is clear. I know what a few of you are thinking, some places have infinite enemy spawns. Okay, use the same strategy pretty much. Get behind cover, get full health, pop out and shoot a few people, sprint forward and get right back behind more cover. That is the only way to break through an area with infinite enemy spawn on Veteran. You have to shoot, cover, and move up, shoot, cover, and move up. Those areas are frustrating but just do what I am saying and you will get past them in no time.
If anyone is just really really stuck on a certain part let me know and I will play that level on veteran and develop a good strategy for you to get past it.
MISCELLANEOUS CAMPAIGN ACHIEVEMENTS
Okay so after you finished Veteran, if thats what you decided to do first, there are some other achievements for the campaign that you probably missed while playing through is on veteran, but you can get them on recruit now. These include:
Death to Dictators - 15 points
Use a single round to bring down Castro
On the Mission "Operation 40", you will fight your way through some buildings and eventually you come to a door where you 'stack up' or get on your buddies back, and bust through the door. Inside the room Castro is with a girl who he holds in front of him like a shield. It will slow down and you have time to aim and kill him with your pistol. Just hit him in the head and you unlock the achievement. Very easy and you will probably get it on Veteran your first play through because it slows down and you have some time to aim. Just make sure you hit him in the head.
Vehicular Slaughter - 25 points
Destroy all enemies on vehicles during the prison break
In the mission "Vorkuta" you are escaping from prison and at the end you hop on a motorcycle and escape. You are followed by enemies in trucks, helicopters and motorcycles. Just blow them all up with the shotgun you are given. Another pretty easy one because you don't really have to aim. As long as you shoot somewhere near them you hit them so just make sure you don't miss any of them.
Slingshot Kid - 15 points
Destroy all slingshot targets in 3 attempts
Also in the mission "Vorkuta" you get to use a slingshot and aim for 3 targets. You can't miss or you will not get the achievement. It is pretty easy just take you time and make sure you aim a little above the targets. It might take a few tries to get the aiming perfect but once you get a feel for where to aim it is a very easy achievements and will not take you more than a couple tries at the most.
Tough Economy - 15 points
Use no more than 6 TOW guided missiles to destroy the tanks in the defense of Khe Sanh
During the mission "S.O.G." there are 6 tanks you have to destroy with the guided missiles you are given. 6 tanks and 6 missiles so you can't miss any shots. This one isn't all that hard and I did it on Veteran but it might give some people some trouble. You just have to dodge the obstacles in your way and make sure you don't shoot until you have a pretty clear view of the tanks to make it a lot easier on yourself.
Unconventional Warfare - 15 points
Use the explosive bolts to kill 30 enemies
You get explosive bolts on the missions "Executive Order" and "WMD". It's really not hard to kill 30 enemies with them so there is not much need for a strategy here. When you hit someone with an explosive bolt it sticks in them and lights up green then explodes and has a decent blast to it so if kills most of the enemies that are nearby. Just keep killing enemies with it until the achievement pops.
The Dragon Within - 15 points
Kill 10 NVA with Dragon's Breath rounds
You get a gun with 'Dragon's Breath' during the mission "The Defector" and all you have to do is kill 10 enemies with it. Keep using it until the achievement pops, pretty straightforward achievement.
Raining Pain - 10 points
Rack up a bodycount of 20 NVA using air support in Hue City
In the Mission "The Defector" you get to use air support to help fight through a city with enemies all over. This is very easy because you get unlimited air support and their are enemies everywhere. Just aim it at a building or an area with a bunch of enemies and call it in. Make sure you let it do all the work and don't shoot a bunch of enemies before it even arrives or it won't get any kills.
Double Trouble - 10 points
Use only dual wield weapons to escape Kowloon
At the start of the mission "Numbers" you get dual weapons. You get plenty of ammo and if your playing on Recruit it won't be any trouble at all running through the mission only using your duals. There is a time a little ways into the mission you can pick up dual SMG's if you want but it really isn't all that necessary if your playing on Recruit.
Heavy Hand - 15 points
Use the Grim Reaper to destroy the MG emplacement
During the mission "Victor Charlie" you will come to a little beach where there is an enemy boat docked with a Machine gun on it and a bunch of enemies around. While fighting them off you will be told to pick up the Grim Reaper laying in the middle of the ground. Pick it up and continue killing enemies until you move into another building. In this next building you will look out a window and there will be another Machine Gun covered in debris. The debris will clear off and you shoot and blow up the machine gun for the achievement.
I hate monkeys - 15 points
Kill 7 monkeys in under 10 seconds in the Rebirth labs
During the mission "Rebirth" you will go into a big building with a bunch of labs. There are cages everywhere in this building filled with some ugly looking monkeys. Find an area with a decent amount of them and kill 7 of them in under 10 seconds. You can shoot them and kill them with grenades. Your best bet is to throw a grenade down a hallway with a lot of them and start shooting another area with a lot of them to make sure you kill 7.
Pathfinder - 50 points
Guide the squad through the Soviet outpost without them getting killed
In the mission "WMD" you play as two different people. You are in a plane guiding the squad for a while and you are down on the ground with them fighting for awhile. This achievement is for when you are in the air leading them through the outpost. Just make sure you listen to what you are told to do and don't let your squad get caught.
Mr. Black OP - 50 points
Enter the Soviet relay station undetected
This one may take a couple tries, but if you are really careful you can get it done on your first few. Later on in the mission WMD you have to enter the relay station. You will have a silenced gun and a crossbow and you have to take out multiple enemies spread out guarding the outside without getting caught. If there are two enemies next to each other just get one of them and your team will automatically take out the guy next to him. Just kill them all without alerting any of them and the achievement is yours.
Frag Master - 15 points
Kill 5 enemies with a single frag grenade
During the mission "The Defector" after taking out the ZSU gun you will go up some starts and kill a few enemies and then you will see a bunch of people standing around a car. Throw a frag grenade into or right next to the car so that when the grenade goes off the car will blow up as well and it should kill all the enemies around it. You might not get it on your first try so just keep doing this until you get it.
Up close and personal - 15 points
Silently take out 3 VC
On the mission "Victor Charlie" there are plenty of opportunities to kill a few VC silently with your knife. Your best opportunity is not too far from the beginning you will swim under water and come up to a boat and take out the guy in the boat. You will then enter a little hut and see two VC sleeping. You take out one with your knife and your teammate takes out the other. Right after that there is one sitting in a chair facing away from you. Walk up behind him and take him out with your knife and you should get the achievement. If not make sure your next kill is the same way and you should have it.
With extreme prejudice - 25 points
Get to the POW compound in the Hind using only rockets
During the mission "Payback" you and Woods kill a few enemies and steal there Hind. While in this hind make sure you use ONLY YOUR ROCKETS. It is a pain in the butt sometimes because it is tough to kill the enemy helicopters at times just using rockets but you can't use the MG. Just take all the enemy out and once you land the achievement should pop.
Russian bar-b-q - 15 points
Incinerate 10 enemies with the flamethrower attachment in the POW compound
Right after you land the hind in the mission "Payback" you will take out a few enemies right outside the compound. Right before you enter the compound you will pick up the flamethrower and once you take out 10 enemies the achievement will show up.
No Leaks - 50 points
Make it through the NOVA 6 gas without dying on Rebirth Island
In the mission "Rebirth" your tank will get shot and you will put on a suit and mask because the enemy drops NOVA 6 gas everywhere. You have to make it all the way through the NOVA 6 without busting the mask of your suit. Just go slowly and carefully through the level and if you're on recruit you shouldn't have any problem with this. The enemy is tough to see through the gas though so be careful and make sure you use the scope on your gun because it is thermal and makes it much easier to see where the enemy is.
Light Foot - 30 points
Escape the ship with 2:15 left on the timer in Veteran.
Slightly tough achievement and might take a few tries, but it is very do-able. During the mission "Project Nova" when your on the ship, you set explosives and have a time limit to get off of the ship. Basically what you want to do is set the timer and sprint to where you have to exit. Only kill the enemies you absolutely have to, the other ones just run on by. If you are having trouble with this there are videos on YouTube that may help, but really there isn't much strategy to it. You just sprint as much as you can, kill the enemies in your way that you have to kill, and run by all the others. I finished with 5 or 10 seconds to spare on my second try.
Double Whammy - 15 points
Destroy both helicopters with one TOW guided missile from the deck of the ship
In the mission "Redemption" towards the beginning after you get on the ship you pick up some valkyrie rockets and have to take out the two helicopters with one shot. There is absolutely no guide or strategy to this because the path the helicopters take is completely random. People will tell you it isn't and that you have to wait until a certain time and shoot at a certain place. Basically you wait until the helicopters are really close and explode the rocket right in between the two and hope you take them both out. This took me a ton of tries. It has nothing to do with skill or anything, you just have to wait until they are close enough and get lucky and hope you hit them both.
Lord Nelson - 25 points
Destroy all targets and structures while making your way up the river
This achievement is a pain. Not because it's hard but because if you miss one thing, you may not know it and have to start the whole mission over, and it takes awhile. On the mission "Crash Site" you are driving the boat and controlling the rockets. Basically you have to blow up everything. EVERYTHING. Every house every tower every hut every bridge. Everything. They blow up fairly easily but this achievement is particular and if you miss one little tiny thing you won't get the achievement and have to start all over. Once you blow everything up and destroy the enemy boat at the end you should get the achievement. If not, sorry, you missed something and have to start all over.
Closer Analysis - 15 points
Find all the hidden intel
A lot of work and time for only 15 GS in my opinion but it is easy enough. There are 3 hidden intel on every mission, and there are multiple videos on YouTube for each mission so you shouldn't have any problem finding the Intel. I would recommend the RoosterTeeth videos if you can find them because they are slightly funny and make them very easy to find.
NON-CAMPAIGN / MULTIPLAYER /ZOMBIE ACHIEVEMENTS
Alright, your finally done with the campaign for this game! Now on to the fun parts, Multiplayer and Zombies. First there are a few achievements you can get in the room your sitting in during the main menu. These achievements include:
Just Ask Me Nicely - 15 points
Break free from the torture chair
One of the easiest achievements you'll ever get. At the main menu just just keep pulling the Right Trigger and Left Trigger and you will break free from the chair and stand up and walk around.
"Insert Coin" - 10 points
Access the terminal and battle the forces of the Cosmic Silverback in Dead Ops
After breaking free from the torture chair, directly behind the chair is a little terminal, walk up to it and type in 'DOA' and hit enter. This will let you play the Dead Ops Arcade and will get you the achievement.
Easy Rhino - 5 points
In Dead Ops Arcade, use a Speed Boost to blast through 20 or more enemies at one time
This is pretty easy you can get it right when you start playing. Just run around and let the enemies build up and once you have a lot (20 or more) try and kinda line them up and then aim at them and pull Right Trigger for a speed boost to go right through them all. If you killed at least 20 the achievement should pop. If not, try it again on the next round.
Sally Likes Blood - 15 points
Demonstrate killer economic sensibilities by taking down 3 enemies with a single bullet
There are a couple ways to get this. You can get this in the campaign at certain points or even try to get 3 zombies in a line and get them all with one bullet. But I think your best bet would be to try and get it in the Dead Ops Arcade. You pick up different guns and if you get the machine gun and just start shooting when you have a lot of enemies following you then you will get it eventually. I picked up the machine gun, let a lot of them build up and then just started unloading and got it almost instantly.
Eaten by a Grue - 15 points
Play Zork on the terminal
Similar to "Insert Coin" but instead of typing "DOA" on the terminal, type in "Zork" and you will start playing Zork and the achievement will unlock.
MULTIPLAYER ACHIEVEMENTS
Ready For Deployment - 15 points
Reach Rank 10 in Combat Training
Just go to Combat Training and play until you reach rank 10. Your playing against bots on whatever difficulty you choose so it is very easy. The quickest way is to see the score to as high as you can and play at Nuketown. You will get it after just a few games.
Gamblin' Fool - 20 points
Finish 5 Wager Matches "in the money"
There are a number of different wager matches to choose from and you can bet different amounts of money. The easiest way to get this achievement is in 'ante up' since it is the lowest amount of money being wagered so the people that are that great usually play it. Find a game type you like or are good at and finish in the top 3 5 times to get this achievement.
Matinee - 15 points
Watch a film or clip with a friend
This can be done in your lobby or a friends, just invite a friend or join a friend and watch a film or clip of one of your multiplayer games. Achievement pops as soon as the clip starts so you can just exit out right when you get the achievement.
ZOMBIE ACHIEVEMENTS
I don't have most of these achievements yet because I haven't gone for them, so for now I am just going to explain what to do and once I get them I will try and tell you strategies that worked for me to make them easier to get.
Hands Off the Merchandise - 20
Kill the Pentagon thief before it can steal your load-out
On the map "FIVE" after you have cleared a path down to the third level and turned the power switch on sometimes the pentagon thief will appear at the end of a round and try to steal your guns. What I did and what I would say is the easiest way to get this is to turn the power switch on, make sure you have a revive, and leave one zombie left to walk around so the round doesn't end until you kill it. Head to the elevator on the ground floor right across from the Teleporter. Get in there and kill the last zombie when he catches up to you. If you hear the alarm you know the thief is coming. Cook a grenade and let it go off in your hand and it will put you down. This will give you the dual pistols that tear everything apart. Just unload on him when you are down when he appears and you will kill him very quickly and get the achievement.
The Collector - 20 points
In Zombie mode, buy every weapon off the walls in a single game
Just as the description says, you have to buy everything off the walls in a zombies game. Your best bet here is to get a few other players who are pretty good and have them open up all the doors and clear all the paths for you. That way you just need to get enough points to buy everything and you won't have to worry about spending your money on doors and things.
Sacrificial Lamb - 15 points
Kill 6 zombies after getting shot by a Pack-a-Punched Crossbow bolt
You have to obtain a crossbow in the mystery box during a game of zombies and once you have that, make sure the power is turned on and head to the 'Pack-a-Punch' machine and purchase the 'Pack-a-Punch' crossbow which is 5000 points. Once you or a teammate has this then you need to shoot him or be shot by him while your down and have the explosion kill 6 zombies. There are strategies for this and once I obtain the achievement I will post them to help you out.
Stab me, Stab Me, Heal Me - 15 points
Fire a Pack-a-Punch Ballistic Knife at a downed ally to revive them from a distance
Similar to Sacrificial lamb, you will need to get a ballistic knife from the mystery box and use it with the Pack-a-Punch machine. You then need to have a teammate downed by a zombie, and from a distance shoot him with your Pack-a-Punched ballistic knife and revive him.
