The Xbox 360 unlocked it's own achievement the other day. Can you guess what it was? No, it has nothing to do with Kinect but it will play a part. If you want a hint, think about when the Xbox 360 was released...

The Xbox 360 quietly celebrated it's fifth birthday on Monday as five years ago on November 22, 2005 the first achievement unlocked. The first red rings popped about a year later as well. So how does Kinect affect the Xbox? It will, as most analysts believe, extend the lifetime of the Xbox 360 for another FIVE years.

The Xbox now has sold around 44.6 million units and around 30 million are subscribing to Xbox Live. Not sure what the other 14 million do without Live? Must enjoy split screen.
