ACHIEVEMENT GUIDE

 

Difficulty -  5/10

Time to 1000 - 30+ hours

 

Fallout New Vegas is an easy RPG and made even easier due to the level and cap glitches that work to your advantage. Make a save for each ending. While doing Hardcore Do Yes Mans story line, as it is very easy, and to run through the game very fast do the Caps and Level glitches found in the bottom Glitches tab below.

Few tips for gettng all companions you only have to recruit Raul then tell him to leave your party he will return to his shack. Go to his shack get him to join again then get him to leave, repeat this 5/6 times then get him to repair an item and the  achievement will pop for all companions. You will get the Gamerscore points but not the companions.

 

 

 

Crafty - 15 points

Craft 20 items

 

Can be done by recharging drained cells very easy.

 

Mod Machine - 15 points

Install 20 weapon mods

 

Mods can be bought every where just go in your pip boy and hit LB to install a mod. Best place is Gun Runners

 

 

Walker of the Mojave - 10 points

Discover 50 locations

 

See Master of the Mojave achievement below.

 

 

Master of the Mojave - 25 points

Discover 125 locations

 

Just follow the hollow arrows on your compass or get Explorer Perk at level 20.

 

 

Globe Trotter - 25 points

Discover all snow globes

You Run Barter Town - 15 points

Sell 10,000 caps worth of goods

 

Easy if you done cap glitch. Go to Gun Runners, buy everything then sell it back or get caps as you play through game.

 

 

Blast Mastery - 15 points

Cause 10,000 damage with Energy Weapons

 

Save your game then rampage every city with energy weapons like Flamer, Laser Pistol, Plasma Rife so on. I recommend going to Jacobs Town first. Being at Level 30 makes this a lot easier.

 

Another tip:

 

For weapon damage for all weapons  to 10,000,  go to Thorn and go to the middle, talk to the female character in the centre. Say you want to fight, then request 3 giant Rad Scorpions. Put the game on Normal or Hard for more health on enemies and for more damage (you can change difficulty at any time). You can get about 350 dmg per round you can repeat as often as possible to get the 10,000 dmg.

 

 

Love the Bomb - 15 points

Cause 10,000 damage with Explosives

 

Same as above, but use explosives instead like Missile Launchers.

 

 

Lead Dealer - 15 points

Cause 10,000 damage with Guns

 

Same as above but use guns with bullets. I prefer a sniper rifle.

 

New Vegas Samurai - 15 points

Cause 10,000 damage with Melee Weapons

 

See above but use Melee weapons like Rebar club or a Super Sledge.

 

 

Old-Tyme Brawler - 15 points

Cause 10,000 damage with Unarmed weapons

 

See above but use your fist Ballistic Glove or Displacer Glove . Ballistic Glove is the best though.

 

 

No Tumbler Fumbler - 15 points

Pick 25 locks

 

See Glitches tab below.

 

 

Stim-ply Amazing - 15 points

Heal 10,000 points of damage with Stimpaks

 

If you used the first Level glitch - below in Glitches tab - you should have 400+ Stimpacks. With the stimpacks, find a pool of water and stay under until you start to die slowly from lack of air. Hot cue the Stimpacks on the D-pad and stay under until achievement pops. Make a save beforehand to keep all Stimpacks when finished.

 

 

Jury Rigger - 15 points

Repair 30 items

 

Just buy all the weapons you see and repair them. Once fully repaired, sell them back.

 

Hack the Mojave - 15 points

Hack 25 terminals

 

As it says, just look around the wasteland for terminals

 

 

Artful Pocketer - 15 points

Pick 50 pockets

 

1. In Vault 21 Sarah should be at the front desk.

2. She has unlimited beer!

3. Just use Stealth Boy

4. Steal a beer

6. Rinse and repeat : 3

 

Save every three beers just in case you get caught.

 

Outstanding Orator - 15 points

Make 50 Speech challenges

 

Do the second method for Level Glitch - in the Glitches tab below - and it should unlock.

 

 

Desert Survivalist - 15 points

Heal 10,000 points of damage with food

 

Go to Camp McCarran and in the kitchen is a man who sells food. Buy all of it and wait until he re-supplies. Keep going for 600+ food items and get the perk for which allows you to fast travel when over-encumbered. Fast travel to Camp Golf, drown yourself to half-health and eat 5-8 pieces of food. Wait 1hour in-game, rinse and repeat.

 

 

Know When to Fold Them - 10 points

Win 3 games of Caravan

 

The man in Goodsprings gas station gives you a deck. Just play with him. Took me about 1-2 hours 2 get both achievements.

 

 

Caravan Master - 30 points

Win 30 games of Caravan

The Courier Who Broke the Bank - 30 points

Get banned from all the Strip's casinos

 

This is done by winning 2 much caps not killing people!

 

Buy 4000k caps from each casino

Save your game

Play roulette

Bet 200 caps on 0

Save after you win

Rinse and repeat until you kicked out of all the casino's

 

One Armed Bandit - 10 points

Play 10 spins of Slots

Not too hard if you level glitch and money glitch. See Glitches tab below. Do the Yes Man story line because it is the shortest. Just meet everyone and tell Yes Man they can be ignored. And JUST GO TO THE VEGAS STRIP, ask Victor and the bartender in Goodsprings. You don't need to do any of the quest.

Infinite Bottle Caps Glitch

 

Please note : this glitch has been patched, you will need to remove the update and play offline. Click here to find out how to remove an update

 

You need to complete the quest "My Kind Of Town" in Primm. Once you have completed the quest, wait three game days then head for the Vikki and Vance casino. Make sure you have left Primm entirely - fast travel anywhere else - before attempting this. Watch the video below because eventually you end up back at the casino and exchanging 9601 bottle caps at a time.

Infinite XP Glitches

Method 1

 

You need Speech of 30 or the perk Confirmed Bachelor. You must also be on the good side of NCR. Go to HELIOS One and the lady should automatically talk to you. Once she allows you access HELIOS One, you should be able to start the mission "That Lucky Old Sun".

 

Follow the mission and talk to Fantastic and Ignacio Rivas. While talking to Rivas make sure you get him to reveal that he's a Follower of the Apocalypse by using Speech or Confirmed Bachelor and agree with his ideals about peace or just say you're neutral. Do the mission regularly until you get to the point where you activate the Mainframe Terminal. Configure the Power Grid to "5.

 

Full Region (Emergency Output Level). Finish the mission by hitting the Reflector Control Panel outside on top of the tower. Go back to Ignacio Rivas and choose the option "I overloaded the plant. No one.....". The glitch is that the option never disappears, so you can choose to keep pressing it.

 

You get 350XP, 3 Stimpacks, and 2 Doctor's Bag

1. Go to New Vegas medical clinic (East of Crimson caravan)

2. Wait until 2am for doors to lock

3. Pick the door to get in.

4. You also pick it to get out

"The Sierra Madre: It's not finding it that's the hard part. It's letting go."

 

As you scour the wastes, you find a mysterious signal inviting you to the fabled Sierra Madre casino, where you can begin again. If you investigate the signal further, you will find a mysterious radio and then you will pass out. When you wake up, you'll be in a strange place called the Villa, with nothing but a suit, a holorifle, and a bomb collar around your neck. A man named Elijah speaks to you through a projection, and informs you that you are going to help him start a Gala event which will open the casino doors.

 

The place you are in is called the Villa, and it's covered in abominations known as Ghosts. You should try to avoid them, as the only way to kill them is to dismember them. If you don't do that, they'll come back in about 5 seconds with full health. There are also blue horribly over-powered Holograms that walk around certain parts. The ones who look like regular individuals are fine to talk to, but the ones who walk around looking like Security guards are deadly. If they see you, they'll turn yellow (giving you a chance to hide) and if you stay in the open too long, they will turn red and destroy you. As you wander the villa, be sure to look in every container you can to find Sierra Madre chips. You need them to survive, unless you're just the Fallout god. There are vending machines scattered around, where you can buy food, stimpacks, and doctor's bags for chips. The chips are simple enough to find, but it is still hard to survive. Try and avoid Ghosts AT ALL COSTS. There are also small toxic clouds throughout the villa that hurt you while you stand in them. Dodge them as well.

 

 

 

 

ACHIEVEMENT GUIDE

 

Assemble Your Crew - 20 points

Recruit Dean Domino, Christine and Dog

 

This achievement is not missable, as it is part of the main quest.

 

Elijah will tell you that there are three other people he has captured, and you must go recruit them to help you:

 

The first one is a schizophrenic super mutant named Dog who is in a cage in the police station. When you walk in, shoot the radio on the table with your holorifle, as staying too close to radios too long will make your collar blow up. You will have to go to the basement and get a holotape, then take it upstairs and play it to Dog. This will make Dog switch personalities to God. Speak to God to learn how he got into this mess, then decide if you would rather work with Dog or God. When you decide, send him to wait for you at the fountain in the Villa.

 

The second is a ghoul named Dean Domino, who used to be a star (you can see his posters on loading screens). You must make your way to a roof in the residential district and talk to him and convince him to join you too. You can either send him to wait at the fountain, or recruit him as a companion. Having him as a companion is very useful, because his perk stops the clouds in the city from hurting for the first few seconds you are in them.

 

The last one you recruit will be a girl named Christine, who can be found in a clinic in the medical district. Make your way into the clinic, then go into the basement (lockpick 75 required or a key found on the second floor), and turn off the shielded speakers in the clinic. Now that you are able to go down the hallway on the main floor, go and release Christine from the malfunctioning Auto-Doc and recruit her. The achievement should unlock as soon as you do.

 

 

 

Having a Ball - 20 points

Complete the Sierra Madre Gala Event

 

This achievement is not missable, as it is part of the main quest.

 

So you've FINALLY gotten your three teammates through this crappy town, and Elijah just tells you that you have to redistribute them through the town.

 

Start with Dog. If you have a high intelligence, use God. If not, use Dog. You take him to a courtyard with some switches. If you chose God, you must bring him two helpings of Ghost remains to make him stay. If you chose Dog, you have to lock him in there.

 

Next, you must take Dean to a rooftop across the Villa. Once you finally get him up there, you have a few different options of keeping him up there: You can threaten to break his legs, where he'll agree to stay. Or, if you're a nice guy, you can turn on two security holograms to protect him from the Ghosts.

 

Last is Christine, whom you must take to this strange security building. You'll arrive at an elevator, and tell her to go down. She'll refuse, and you have a few options of how to deal. The easiest one is to lie to her, and tell her you'll send her up to look for a better way, but when she walks in the elevator you send her down.

 

NOTE: FOR THESE THREE QUESTS, THERE ARE GHOSTS EVERYWHERE. Look out.

 

After getting those three to their positions, you must go to the top of a bell tower to orchestrate it all. Be prepared, though, because this bell tower happens to be where a ton of ghosts live. Once you get up there, you can press a button to start the Gala Event. After you start it, the casino gate will open up and Ghosts will start flooding into the courtyard below you. If you're like me and don't have any stimpacks to spare, I'd sprint past all of them and just book it to the Casino gate. You get the achievement when you pull the lever to start the event.

 

 

Cash Out - 30 points

Confront father Elijah in the Sierra Madre's Vault

 

When you wake up in the Casino, you'll have to go find your three partners again. However, I think you should go turn on the power to the casino first, because then you can gamble and earn chips towards Sierra Souvenir Aficionado. After that, you can do these.

 

First, you'll be sent upstairs to find Dog. You'll only have about 15 seconds before he blows the place up, so you need to sprint toward him and start dialogue. With a speech skill of 45, you can convince him to kill himself. With a speech of 85 you can "talk" him through his schizophrenia, and save his life. Either way, when you finish, you need to move on to Dean.

 

Dean can be found in the Tampico theater. To start dialogue with him you need to go to the middle of the room and pick up some papers from a podium. He'll then run out and talk to you. If you found him the holograms earlier, he'll help you run from some holograms now. If you threatened him, he'll send the holograms after you. Either way, when you finish talking to him, go through the door on your right. There will be a damaged speaker above you to your right that you need to destroy. After that, run into Dean's room and grab the key to Vera's room, and turn off the radio. After that, run into Vera's room and grab the master key and a holotape. From there you run up the stairs to the projector room. Put the holotape in the projector, and that will override the security holograms, making the room below you safe. You are then free to go deal with Dean as you see fit.

 

Last but not least, you must go deal with Christine. She'll be the same as Dean, if you were kind to her earlier she'll be kind to you. If you lied to her, she'll try to kill you. Make your way through the ruined suites, avoiding holograms, and find Christine in Vera's room and deal with her.

 

After this you'll find the way to go to the vault. The doors straight into the vault are locked, so you have to go through a duct-maze. You'll have to make your way past a lot of speakers, and some holograms. When you finally make it into the vault, take everything you want BEFORE activating the terminal in the back. After activating it, you'll enter dialogue with Elijah. With a sneak of 75 or a lockpick of 75, you can convince him to go down there. SAVE right when you exit dialogue, so you can come back for the other achievement. After you exit dialogue, exit the main vault area and crouch against the wall to your right. Elijah will be walking around looking for you. Once he gets close enough, attack him. Be aware, though, if he sees you from far off he'll run out, trap you in there, and turn on some turrets to kill you. As soon as you kill Elijah, you'll get the achievement.

 

 

Safety Deposit Box- 40 points

Trap Father Elijah in the Sierra Madre's Vault

 

Reload your save from "Cash Out". This time, right when you load, sprint out to the left, and go the exact same route you came. Beware, if you step on the stairs to the right, Father Elijah will automatically find you and you can't get it. It's also been reported that if the Holograms spot you on your way out, he'll automatically find you. After you pass all the hazards again, you'll come to a locked maintenance door. You'll then hear Father Elijah mumbling something, and then he'll scream that he's trapped. The maintenance door will then unlock, and you can run to the elevator and leave. The achievement will either unlock right when he yells he's trapped, or when you go up the elevator.

 

Sierra Souvenir Aficionado - 30 points

Collect 500 Sierra Madre Chips

 

It's practically impossible to miss this achievement, as it means 500 cumulative, not 500 at once. If you somehow manage to make it all the way through without getting 500 chips, you will be given a chance to wander the Villa before you return to the Mojave. You can go look for more chips or just go gamble. Plus, once you return to the Mojave, there will be a vending machine in the Abandoned BoS Bunker. You will be able to bring cartons of cigarettes and packs of cigarettes back to it and exchange them for chips. With all these opportunities, there is NO excuse for you to not get this final achievement!
