Rumour has it that Microsoft is preparing to roll out another dashboard update this August, The update will reportedly scrap off the Microsoft points system and ready itself for the next gen console.

As many will by now be aware Microsoft is hosting an announcement of its next generation console on Tuesday 21st May, but this step is widely seen as good news and beinging real world currency to the 360 finally.

Public beta testing will take place late June / early July, We have been told that the dashboard will also along with the currency change be refreshed bringing a slightly darker theme.
