At 10am Pacific time (6pm GMT) Microsoft finally lifted the lid on the XBOX 360's successor, the XBOX ONE will launch later this year (2013).

Many new gaming, TV, Kinect, Entertainment features were exclusively revealed, including a new television series exclusive to XBOX ONE, Halo - The TV Series produced by Steven Speilberg.

Many months of rumours have circulated regarding what the next gen format will be, including hardware specifications which I can now reveal:

  • 8 Core CPU
  • 8GB System memory
  • 500GB HDD
  • Blue-Ray Drive
  • 802.11n Wireless with Wi-Fi direct
  • HDMI In / Out
  • USB 3.0

Nintendo could learn a thing or two from this reveal, Hardware specs revealed, exclusive content at launch, and a console that will take us into the next gen world as opposed to releasing a format which doesn't even match current tech.

Microsoft went on to announce 15 exclusive titles during the first year from release, 8 of which are brand new IP's. They also announced Forza 5 for the XBOX ONE at launch, that should keep the motoring fan's happy, and additionally the worlds first preview of Call Of Duty Ghosts with exclusive DLC coming first on XBOX ONE.

For the American Football fans an exclusive NFL deal was announced bringing new immersive content which will deliver a real time fantasy football experience and much more.

I am certain the reveals will not stop there, and we can't wait for the next chapter in the story at E3.
